Bruce freezes. He wonders if he heard that right as his heart beat starts to fasten. "...What?" He asks.
"You know, dissociative identity disorder." Peter continues. "Do you have it? I've looked it up, and man I'm sorry I probably shouldn't have. I mean it's not like I found something but saying to your face that I've looked you up for something private feels incredibly wrong now. I'm sorry. I've just been wondering for a long time now and I just have to ask."

Tony turned over his shoulder in dread as Bruce heaved and gasped on the floor, his skin already growing a sickly green color. Tony's mouth went dry and his heart dropped to his stomach, instinctively standing in front of Peter with his arms out protectively.
"Pete, you said you had your nanotech?"
"Always."
"...Good. Cause I got nothin'."
Peter tapped the screen of his watch and allowed his suit to materialize around himself, stepping around Tony so that he was the one protecting rather than the one being protected.
"Kid, no."
"No offense, Mister Stark...but what're you gonna do to protect me from the literal Hulk?"
Tony clenched his jaw and said nothing.

The Specter's new little torture arena is, for some reason, impossibly bright. Maybe it's because it's the first time any of them have seen sunlight since they first got here, no matter how artificial, or maybe it's the fact almost every structure is painted stark hospital-white as opposed to their typical gloomy surroundings, but the longer Shedletsky spends trying to navigate this awful fucking place, the worse he starts to feel.

If anyone asked Rex what he wanted to do on a Saturday morning - which no-one ever did, considering his history of not-to-plan Saturday mornings - he would tell them sleeping in until 4pm, and then kicking back on the couch in his boxers with a bag of something not good for him to get stuck all over his fingers, and bad TV blaring at the volume that everyone else found too loud, but he could hear perfectly fine.
And if any singular person had asked Rex what he wanted to do on his Saturday fucking morning, his answer would absolutely one hundred fucking percent not be fighting some mad scientist with a kink for activism and nature.
But no-one ever asks him.
So here he was, at the buttfuck, birds not chirping, moon still visible, crack of dawn running around trying to not get crushed by huge mounds of stone all while Doc Seismic made some speech about how The Washington Monument was promoting climate change or some shit.
