Summary
After the events of the Olympics, the team decided they need a vacation. So with Tubo and Ranboo in tow, Tommy and the rest of the hockey team arrive in Quebec at a ski resort. It's supposed to be fun, a place to unwind, to enjoy winter without the competition. But for Tommy, it's a time to realize how much better he used to be.
Without realizing it, he relapses, slipping into old, dangerous habits. Pushing his body past its limits, skating from sun-up to sundown, skating on the ice as if it's a prison rather than a stage. His friends, his family, realize, and they know with enougn love, Tommy will understand again. Until then, they'll be there for him, they'll love him like he never let himself love who he was. For now, it's enough, and Tommy couldn't be more grateful for them.

The sky outside Tommy’s window was grey, close to a dark blue. A couple of birds Tommy would’ve known the name of if he had paid attention during his tutoring lessons flew about. He wondered where they were going. Perhaps somewhere nice.
He flipped the pocket knife he had got for his birthday a long time ago. He rarely got anything anymore. It was silver, engraved with his name, Theseus. It was a pretty knife, sure. Up and down, up and down, up and down.
A knock on the door made him drop his knife. He scrambled down from the windowsill, picking up his knife and putting it in his pocket.

“Toms,” Wilbur turns his attention to him for the first time since being home. They’ve been here for hours. “How’s school? You still struggling with maths?” An innocent question, a stupidly innocent question that Wilbur asks to be nice, to be pleasant, to catch up with his baby brother.
“I haven’t had any calls from his teachers recently, so he must be.” A joke, he knows Phil is joking but it twists his heart in the wrong direction and shatters any shards of hope Tommy had left for his family.
“I’m in college, for video editing.” He says, because he is, and they don’t seem to know that. “I passed maths with an A.” He frowns, picking up his fork and using it to grab a piece of the garlic bread and dropping it on his plate. “Like two years ago.” He adds.
The silence is unpleasantly loud, it’s far more familiar than the laughing. He almost feels bad.
Almost.

Summary
Tommy hasn't seen or spoken to his brothers in almost seven years. And it was supposed to stay that way. In fact Tommy wasn't ever supposed to see or speak to his brother until they apologized to him. Or at least that's what he thought.
Now in his senior year in the most prestigious school in the country due to a very strange set of circumstances, Tommy is shocked to find his out his brothers are coming home a semester early and are going to be staying at home with him again.
With his whole world shaken and his perfectly crafted world crumbled by this news, Tommy figure out how to manage his knew home life with his current school life.
Not to mention he's also part of the school theatre program that is much more demanding than anything he's ever done before.
Tommy has to make it through his last semester of high school, last show with the school that has done so much for him and now his entire schedule and life has been thrown to the wind by his family. And why are they acting like nothings wrong?

Or Tommy's a theater kid who now has to deal with fact that his brothers are disrupting the life he had ever so perfectly created in the massive wake they left behind. -

Wilbur frowns, but it's Techno who steps forward. "Tommy, he's not going to do anything," Techno tells him cautiously. "You don't need to worry, alright?"
To you, Tommy would say, if he was stronger. He's not going to do anything to you.
But he doesn't. Tommy keeps his mouth shut—whatever it takes to stay.
When Techno and Wilbur Soot-Watson anger a bully, it shouldn't be an issue. They are as untouchable as they can get, for students anyway.
It's unfortunate that Tommy, their foster brother, isn't. Being their soft spot, it only makes sense that he becomes the next target.

Summary
Tommy remembers a time where he idolized the heroes on the screens. He remembers a time where his breath would fog up the glass on Christmas morning as he stared at a window with toys. Heroes monetized. Tommy hadn't thought much about it when he was little, when he had stars in his eyes with the hope that he'd crawl his way out of the slums.
It would've been better if Tommy had never existed in the first place.
Freefall was dead.
He should stop falling back on those habits.

The doorbell chimes cheerfully, and Wilbur draws his attention to the door.
“That’s probably the pizza.”
“Yeah, I’m sure it is. I’ll get it.” Wilbur plucks Techno’s wallet from the side table and crosses the space between the living room and the front door, nudging his shoes aside in favor of answering the door.
Wilbur opens the door, creaky hinges and all, and stops. Gilded in the moth light is a boy- young and old at the same time, a golden halo dirtied and worn. His eyes are familiar- a sight he had not seen in three years time.
Wilbur stares at his little brother, who stares right back. Then he shifts, taps a toe on the ground, and clears his throat.
“I didn’t.. I didn’t know where else to go.”

Three years ago Wilbur's foster brother ran away without a trace. Wilbur never quite got over it, but was forced to move on with his life, certain he'd never see him again- until Tommy reappears on his doorstep one fateful Tuesday. Healing ensues.

or, SBI are actors on a sitcom, and of course, they play a happy family- unfortunately for Tommy, the lines between fact and fiction are easily blurred and hard to define.

“If you heard what we said, then you know what Puffy told me about you,” Tommy said, giving Wilbur a sticky sweet smile that was more akin to him baring his teeth.
Wilbur’s face must’ve reflected the way his heart skipped a beat at that, because Tommy’s grin widened now that he’d found a thread to pull.
“So?” Wilbur asked, struggling to act like he didn’t care about that part of the conversation.
“So, I want to know what’s wrong with you.”
The thread tugged right in the center of his chest, and Wilbur wondered if this was what it was like to unravel.
or, Wilbur is only a few months away from getting his degree when he has a mental breakdown and is unwillingly pulled out of his classes. With nothing to fill his days, Phil gets Wilbur a part time job at a local bookstore, where he finds himself getting trained by a loud-mouthed teenager who hates his guts right off the bat. Great. All he wants to do is graduate, but now he has to deal with a seventeen year old trying to get him fired. Thanks Phil.
But somehow, this kid ends up being exactly what Wilbur needs.

“Yeah, he does. He’s got these sick skates and everything.” Tubbo explains. “He’s quiet though. We tried talking to him, but…”
“But?”
Tubbo shrugs. "He's quiet. He doesn't talk much. I guess he's busy."
or, Tommy's made it to the Olympics for figure skating- he's the youngest contestant on the ice and he's the favor for the gold. He's supposed to be living the dream. So why is he still so unhappy? And why do all these hockey players and snowboarders care so much about him?
