“I'm dying, guys help!” Sirius panted out, as he weakly stood to try and open a window, only to collapse on his first step. Remus was there, his arm reaching out to grab him firmly and stop him from falling.
“God, Pads, why do you guys do this to yourselves?” Remus’ voice broke through Sirius' ringing ears, but the first thing he noticed was the touch.
Remus went to let go of the hot arm, but Sirius held it there, “Wait, Moony, don't let go. You're so cold.” Sirius could feel the burning sensation slowly draining from his arm, with a sigh of relief.
Or: Sirius eats a charmed biscuit that causes him to heat up, and the only thing that cools him down? Remus' touch. Which would be fine, if Sirius wasn't in love with him.

He moves his head to look at him, locking their eyes together and Eddie smiles.
Evan “Buck” Buckley, goalie for the team, is a beast in the goals. He’s six foot two, a good 280 pounds at 20 years old - and counting, he’s on a whole regiment to become even bigger- and he fills up the goal in a scary way once he’s got his equipment on him. There’s a certain sharpness to his face that many would mistake for seriousness, but then all Buck has to do is smile or laugh a little too loud and the illusion is broken and he is seen for what he truly is : kind, gentle and soft.

For a sickening, devastating second, Eddie thinks Buck is going to turn his back on him and rush to Tommy.

Eddie jerks out of the moment, pain registering around his bicep where Hen is squeezing him too hard. There’s an edge to her voice, jaw clenched, and eyes narrowed as she looks across from where they are standing. Eddie follows her gaze and his entire body freezes.
“Whatever you do,” Hen’s voice is low, dark, “do not let him take Buck.”
Jonah can’t see them from where he’s standing, his back mostly turned as he flashes a light in one of the patient's eyes. Eddie shifts without thinking, blocking Buck and Christopher from view. Fuck the fire, Eddie thinks as he plants himself where he’s standing.
