Summary
As a child, Alma had always been told about how precious her long, thick hair was. So precious, that it was all she was as a person, with her hair being the most treasured part of her, so treasured that she could never cut it, no matter how long it got, no matter how hard it got to care her. And as a little girl, she never realized the selfish intentions of the people she should be able to love and trust, not until it would forever scar her beyond repair.
As she ages, it's impossible to come to terms with her trauma. It affects her every decision as she grows with it, making her suffer as she is sucked into a void of her own despair, feeling no escape, but only fear. A fear that is through her through the ages, one she can never let go of, not truly, as the pain continues to rule.
Some people can never recover, not fully. For some, the memories are always there to haunt them, no matter how many decades pass, causing strain to the people you love the most, even if you are trying.
