You need to get tougher, she thinks. You’re not fucking Bambi. Bronco opens the door for her and she stays seated, trembling, eyes forward. She needs to move. She can’t.
“Oh, one of those, eh?”
He shuts the door and climbs in from the other side. Exactly two people are allowed to see her like this.
OR: Rachel's would-be killers lose their fucking teeth. Safely at the villa, she needs a minute to steady herself.

Donnie Darko wakes up in the hospital with his only recollection being what the doctors tell him was a schizophrenic episode. It doesn't make sense because it had all felt so real. For him, this should have been his second time cheating death. Now he's left to struggle with sorting out what was real and what wasn't as everyday life still demands his attention.
