"Is that the reason you're avoiding intimacy with me?" Chuuya asked hesitantly as to not risk upsetting him further.
"Sex hurts." Dazai said at a volume barely above a whisper. It took a minute for Chuuya to process what he said.
When Dazai's words sunk in, Chuuya swore he felt his heart shatter like a plate being dropped on the ground. Surely Dazai was trying to be funny, right? "Sex...hurts?"
"Is it not supposed to?"
The fact that a genius like Dazai didn't know that sex was supposed to feel pleasurable made Chuuya really start to wonder what all he didn't know about his past. What happened to him in the mafia that Chuuya didn't know about?
"No, it's not supposed to hurt. I mean it can be painful at first sometimes but it's supposed to make your body feel good. Like...when you masturbate."

When Damian closes his eyes, all he sees is blood.
It explodes behind his eyelids, staining everything red, like the elevator scene in The Shining. The exact moment his eyes shut, he can almost hear the thick glug-glug-glug and smell iron. It clogs his throat and masks the scent of everything else. It makes his head spin. It robs him of his appetite, stomach twisting in angry rebellion.
Damian used to revel in it. He used to view blood as a metric of victory. The more he spilled the prouder his mother would become. Now it makes him dizzy and the room spins until he needs to sit down or else risk passing out.

It’s hard to reconcile the Loki who killed eighty people in one day with the Loki that’s now sitting next to them, who’s trying to reduce the points of impact by holding himself tightly. Locked, because this was the only bathroom throughout the entire Manor that was allowed to be fully locked. Apparently, there had been one too many times certain vigilantes were found unconscious after hiding injuries or illnesses.
Dick had absolutely not been one of those vigilantes.
Okay, so maybe he’s underestimated a few good ol’ stab wounds in the past only to then collapse in a bathroom, but Dick was far better at knowing his own limits than his dumb brothers and his even dumber Bruce.
Dick could be trusted to have a lockable bathroom.
He… he had needed to have a lockable bathroom.
The point was this was Dick’s bathroom, not Tim’s, and Tim needed to get the hell out if he was in there and he needed to get the hell out of the country if he’d never been in there to begin with and had just decided to be a menace to society with a so-called prank.
“Tim,” Dick barked. “I’m giving you five seconds.”
