She can't see their face at all—the hood must be weighed down or something, it hasn't moved—but the way their body freezes feels like they are evaluating Adora's credibility. "Well, then we will call it a circumstance of good luck." The figure then turns and walks into the forest.
"You're just going to leave me here?" She can't help but ask, mildly panicked. Since she was first outed as an oracle she's never been in the real world.
"Yes? I rescued you out of a moment of kindness, not for you to hang about." They reach up and pull back their hood.
Adora breathes sharply through her nose at the flash of recognition that hits her gut. It's the woman with the split eyes, handsome as ever, with unruly curls and a distrusting turn to her pink lips. The woman Adora longed to rescue her when she was a teen and then grew to fear ever meeting.
She outright glares at Adora, clearly peeved at having her plans disrupted. "My name is Catra. If I'm taking you any further than the next town over, you will be paying me."

"It'll be weird, we won't have to see each other that often anymore." Catra comments idly, her voice carrying although she's still facing the opposite way.
Adora's fingers stutter on her back. She doesn't want to stop, could never want to be anything but Catra's ever again. She's as sure about it as she's ever been about anything else. But Catra would say if she wanted Adora, wouldn't she? She shouldn't alienate her friend in the hope of something more.
She's apparently been stuck in her own thoughts for too long because Catra turns around so they are face to face, lying on their side. "Adora?" She asks carefully. "You alright?"
Fuck it. Catra's staring at her with those big beautiful eyes and her heart feels like it's clenched into a fist and turning to ash in her chest. There's no avoiding this. "I—what if we still saw each other? What if we...wanted to?"

Catra sinks deeper in her bed, her eyes on all the creamy skin that Adora slowly reveals. "Well, I would never say no to you, darling."
Adora’s eyes grow serious for a moment. "Just because we’re living in the same city now doesn't mean that we can just see each other all the time." She warns in that low stern voice she uses when she's at her most serious. "We can't get caught Catra."
Catra rolls her eyes. "We've been doing this for over a thousand years, Adora, I think it'll be fine." Adora purses her lips as if she wants to protest. Catra stands in front of the half-naked angel, removing her own shirt. She presses her finger to Adora’s lips, luxuriating in the softness there. "Do you want to argue about how frequently we can be together, or do you just want to be together?" She challenges.

Welcome to Styx City, populated by a mix of humans and bioengineered people developed by Nyx Industries. These new type of humans are known as the Keres. Despite protests and treaties for their freedom, the Keres still live under a closely surveyed rule, seen only as ‘just androids pretending to be real people’. Some Keres choose to accept the life they've been given. Others choose to break free and Disconnect, forming their own identities and becoming Offline Keres, or 'Ghosts'. This is an action punishable by death.
In this city of neon, two people--Catra, a bartender with many secrets, and Adora, an Angel who feels undeserving of her wings--try to survive with their own sets of problems and regrets. The city should've turned them cold, but instead, they find warmth with each other. Their forbidden bond is sometimes the only thing that can keep them going.

They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.
But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.

How to restore the Fright Zone to Scorpia's family and what to do with all the indoctrinated soldiers still living there? What to do about the possibility of more magic-based worlds that were converted to weapons by the First Ones - or the possibility that Horde Prime was smart enough to make a backup of his consciousness? And the most important question of all - will Catra and Adora ever be allowed some alone time to explore their newly admitted love for one another?
COMPLETE as of 2020-09-10: Written as a sort of "Season Six", this story covers the post-war fallout, a long space adventure to find and destroy Prime's backup consciousness, a slow-burn exploration of what a Hordak redemption arc might look like, and lots and lots of Catra/Adora character study, hurt/comfort, fluff, and occasionally smut. There are some violent action scenes, but no character death.
