Louis stares at the wall, his heart jackrabbiting in his chest as he realizes that there’s not just one painting of him, there’s five, the portraits lined up like they’re some sort of storyboard depicting the rise and fall of his deepest love. His greatest heartache. A pain that cut him so deep that he left the fucking country, severing all ties with his life in New York, now suddenly surrounding him as if he’d never left.

Louis returns to New York City five years after he left it – and the love of his life – behind. He didn't intend to see Harry again, but fate has a funny way of pulling them together, whether they like it or not. Summary
David Rose falls off his cute huge yacht, loses his memory, and washes up in Schitt’s Creek, where he learns how to love.
This is loosely based on the movie Overboard, but if you read All the Songs I Sing Are About You, you already know I have a tendency to stray pretty far from the source material. The story is barely recognizable beyond the basic premise.
Schitt’s Creek is a small town on the water in this story, and NOTHING about the experience or treatment of amnesia in this is remotely accurate. It’s all made up, folks. Suspend your disbelief before entering.
The title comes from an episode of Schitt’s Creek. Bragging rights to the first person who figures out what episode and scene it came from.

Patrick had a hard time sleeping. He stared at his alarm clock. It read 3:15am. He would have to wake up in only four more hours to start getting ready in order to make it to the airport two hours prior to departure. He’d received a text from Twyla—his friend at the paper—a few days after inquiring about the author of the article. Twyla was a little surprised at Patrick’s interest, but she was encouraging nonetheless.
The only information Twyla had about the author was the name Rose and an email address. Patrick had waited two weeks before making up his mind, and even then was so nervous about the fact that he was basically hiring a hooker, that he asked Twyla to set everything up for him. Twyla could be a little quirky, but he trusted her sweet nature to convince this Rose person. And surely one week’s notice before having to take an international flight to accompany him to his sister’s wedding in Canada should suffice, right? Patrick would be paying six thousand dollars for services rendered, after all.
