Logan stilled before letting go of Scott’s hand like he was infected by some contagious virus, “What?
“Do you wanna do it?” Scott repeated, the older man only stared at him eyebrows furrowed, mouth slowly forming into a scowl, but he wasn’t declining the offer, in retrospect, he was thinking about it, but not yet contemplating. Scott leaned forward the minute Logan leaned backward, “I’m pretty good at it,” he added, starting to crawl his way on top of the older man.
Logan was leaning away, trying to put as much distance between them, “The fuck are ya doing?”
“Don’t you know,” Scott continued, “I can do it anywhere, anytime, free of charge,”
Finally completely snapping out of it, Logan pushed Scott away with such force, he hit his back pretty hard on the armrest.
“The fuck is wrong with ya?” Was Logan’s last words before standing up to grab his things and leave.

“What’re people after you for, anyway?” Din asks, in search of a distraction. Enough of the kid’s face is visible for Din to be sure it hasn’t popped up on any bounty pucks he’s seen.
"I have no idea,” he says, distraught. Agitated. “At first I thought there’d been some kinda mistake – people here think my last name’s a slave name sometimes – but these guys don’t care, just keep talking about how rich I’m going to make them.” At his words, Din’s stomach turns over, cold with dread. That he is trapped in a cell with a mark Jabba the Hutt thinks can make him big credits doesn’t exactly inspire optimism in his own escape prospects. The kid’s voice cracks as he continues, faint, “I’m no one, honest, I just fix my uncle’s vaporators and salvage old speeders.”

After one of his first solo jobs goes sideways, Din meets Luke ten years early in a holding cell on Tatooine. Luke's buyer, someone powerful enough to threaten the Hutts, has left strict instructions not to lay a hand on him.
They use Din to hurt him instead.

Then, slipping between Stormtroopers like a living shadow, another man appears.
He’s of modest height and slim build, clad in a black cloak with the hood pulled up over his head. The energy in the room instantly changes as he steps forward, becoming weighted and charged. There’s a sense of raw deference in the way everyone watches him. When the commander from earlier steps forward and tries to speak, the man raises a gloved hand to cut him off without looking, dismissing him as easily as one of the rank and file.
Din’s stomach bottoms out.

Fuck Jace. But more importantly, fuck his sweet looking older brother, who just happen to not have the slightest idea of who Magnus is. If everything goes according to plan, Magnus will have put Jace back to his insignificant place and gotten lucky with a gorgeous oblivious guy.
