Summary

Summary
The first time it happens, Will classifies it as a little accident.
When he wakes, the morning sun is burning through the window onto their faces, and Mike’s cursing as he stands to close the curtains, stumbling all the way.
“Scoot over,” he grumbles, voice dry, and for a second Will can’t do anything other than sigh like a lovesick idiot. It’s a second too late for Mike, because he grumbles more words Will doesn’t catch under his breath and then physically pushes Will towards the wall to lay beside him, arm over Will’s middle. A second of silence passes, then Mike sighs, only to whine: “Fuck, my head hurts.”
Will can’t help it: he breaks down laughing, much to Mike’s offense.

Whatever happens next... no matter what...
Will felt his soul slowly leaving his body.
Time seemed suspended, as if they were trapped in a parallel reality.
Then Will started to cry. A terrible cry, sobbing and heaving. The tears streamed down like a waterfall and he didn’t even try to stop them, he just lay there, in the arms of the man he loved and who, apparently, was preparing him for the inevitable end.

Summary
Mike, hard-up for money after he and his sisters moved to New York in 1993 and with a creative writing degree he doesn’t know what to do with, starts working on the set of a new movie as a script-writer and gets a second job as the assistant for a modeling company just trying to afford rent.
The problem? Well, there’s someone familiar - and someone gorgeous - on the set of both. Will Byers, only recently recruited as both a model and actor, is working on both of Mike’s sets. Which is unfortunate, because Mike can’t stand nepo babies, and as Will’s brother Jonathan is working as one of the photographers and videographers for both, that’s what he clearly is. (Little does he know that Will honestly hates it and just wants to paint sets, but can’t refuse the money because of his family’s bad financial situation.)
As they work together more, though, Mike finds himself questioning a lot, ranging from what he wants in life to his sexuality to if the only thing he wants from Will is what they've got - will he figure it out, or not? Read to find out!

Will's head turned toward him, and for a moment, Mike was terrified he'd say no. But then a small smile appeared on his face. "Yeah," he said, his ears perking up just a little. "Okay."
That's when it happened. A warm feeling spread through Mike's chest, and before he could stop it, his tail began to thump enthusiastically against the metal pole of the swing set.

That seems to click something in the woman’s head, because in three seconds flat, she’s pulling her helmet back and staring her dark eyes dead into Will’s.
Will’s eyes widen and he hears Jane’s shocked gasp beside him.
Underneath the helmet, underneath all the scars and jagged lines, stares back—
“I am Michaela Childress, firstborn daughter of House Acer, Sworn Paladin to the Kingdom of Holkins, and Right Hand to the Queen Regent.” She seethes, the hard line in her jaw tightening as she glowers at Will. “The Queen Regent, whose face you have adapted as your own.”
