Summary
Both of their bodies shake as they catch their breath. Will’s still hard, and his sweat is starting to dry uncomfortably on his skin, but all he can focus on is Mike.
It’s times like these he’s reminded how lucky he is to have Mike in this way. To see this side of him, this side that still feels too new and too intimate and too overwhelming all at once. Sometimes, he thinks he may be bitter. Resentful of his lot in life, being so painfully in love with someone who will so obviously never feel the same way. On his bad days, he even thinks he might resent Mike.
Like this, though, he knows that could never be true. Not really. Sure, it hurts, only ever having Mike halfway, knowing his body but never his soul. Yes, it’s going to kill him when Mike inevitably finds someone new and runs off into the sunset, leaving him in the dust again.
But it’s Mike. He'll take whatever he can get.
When he and Mike end up in bed together after graduation, they fall into something dangerously easy. Or, at least, it would be easy, if it weren't the most painful thing Will's ever done.

Will shakes his head, trying to clear Mike from it for the night. Only when he looks back up at Richie, Richie has this conspiratorial smile on his face, like maybe Will isn't the only one eager to piss off Mike Wheeler.

There are no right or wrong answers here, no one is the hero or the villain. So, please, I need you both to contribute in order to move forward.” Rio’s eyes flickered between the women as she spoke.
Wanda simply smiled and nodded.
Agatha rolled her eyes and scoffed under her breath something similar to “fucking hell.”
Rio had to hide her smirk. Oh this was gonna be fun.

Summary
After saving Eddie from the Upside Down, Steve hides him at his house while the party concocts a plot to clear Eddie's name. What Steve doesn't expect is how much he likes hanging out with Eddie as they get to know each other.
Under the looming shadow of the Mind Flayer threatening to destroy Hawkins, Steve and Eddie realize they're each grappling with their own darkness, from Steve's father's impossible expectations to Eddie's feelings of worthlessness.
Their friendship develops into something more even as the party prepares to fight Vecna and his monsters one last time. Steve must decide if he's ready to shrug off the rigid roles assigned to him and become his own person. Eddie must learn to embrace what Steve has been trying to show him every day since nearly dying: that he's worth saving.
Author's Note: This is basically me speculating what Season 5 might look like, with Eddie surviving and from Steve's perspective. Enjoy!

“No,” Will bites, disbelief sharp in his voice, his gaze flickering between Mike’s eyes. “You can’t. It’s been four years, Mike. Do you have any idea how late you are? This is—”
“I am late. I know that.” A quiet ringing drones in Will’s ears as he takes a step back, then another. Bile creeps up his throat. “Let me be what you need. Please, Will—I’ll do anything.” A soft thud echoes as Will’s back hits the wall. “I just want you. All I’ve ever wanted is you.”
OR: Four years ago, Mike followed Will to New York, blindly hoping he’d see him again. What he doesn’t expect is for Will to move in next door. They take this newfound opportunity to learn more about themselves and what it truly means to be best friends.

Tossing and turning on the old spare mattress that Mike had relegated him to instead of- Well. Mike's thoughts slam into a wall. Even if he had let Will sleep in his room, he'd still be on that mattress. Just... just on the ground beside him instead of two floors down.
"You're a freak," Mike mumbles to himself, squeezing his eyes shut.
Or, Mike and El are taking a break, and in the absence of being able to pour himself into that relationship, he's spending entirely too much time thinking about Will... who just so happens to be living in his basement. During the 18-month time jump where the Byers have been living with the Wheelers.

But he doesn’t, so he remains frozen there with his eyes closed and his nails digging into the palms of his hands. “That’s what you said, isn’t it?”
Mike seriously needs therapy, he thinks.
“I’m going to kick your ass if your hand’s on your dick right now,” Will protests, although nothing about his tone is even the slightest bit threatening.
“You’ll have to turn around to find out.”

What is wrong with him. It’s such a loaded question. Why does Will wake up screaming sometimes? Why can’t Will handle the cold? Why are there days when Carlton’s hands on him feel like being kept under water with no way up?
And why can’t Will tell Carlton the truth? How could Will possibly explain it without sounding insane? What is the human translation for being taken and kept in another dimension, violated, and possessed, only to then be violated yet again—
This part of him is something Will is never going to be able to share with anyone else. That nobody would understand.
Why won’t you tell me what’s wrong with you.
“Because you wouldn’t get it.” Will somehow manages to say it without gagging.
And then, Carlton goes in for the kill.
“Oh, but Mike does?”
