Summary
- Connor was fully aware that Hank held a record for the number of disciplinary warnings. He had to constantly remind the other to not perform any actions that would grant him /another/ bullet point in his novel of warnings. Yet, as Gavin and Hank screamed at each other in the middle of the room, Connor found himself going against his usual policy.
He stepped closer to Gavin, and he felt his eye twitch violently.
Connor had an extreme disliking towards /anyone/ that threatened violence on his partner.
A hatred... that definitely gets a little violent.
(Hank and Gavin get into an argument. 'Violence is not the answer' gets thrown out the window.)

Summary
Hank Anderson hates androids. It isn’t a secret either. Ask any of his friends from the Detroit Police Department, and they will tell you the same. He hates being around them, with all their fake perfection and pretentiousness. They are designed similar to humans to make it easier for them to integrate into the society, but it only makes Hank notice how different they are. They are like Barbie dolls—beautiful, but fake.
The android that lives across him is no exception.
Or, in which Connor is Hank's neighbor and he slowly changes the lieutenant's feelings about androids.

Summary
This is a Detroit: Become Human story told from Hank’s point of view. Why? Because Hank is a beautifully complex character whose inner thoughts I felt should be explored in further detail. Also I just love Clancy Brown in general and his performance for the game is brilliant.
Some plot factors to keep in mind
1) Connor’s part of the story will be told as him gradually becoming deviant.
2) Markus will pursue the pacifist route but will only be mentioned in passing since Hank doesn’t actually meet our favorite Android Messiah in the game except in various bits of filmed footage.
3) Kara & Alice will only be in the story when they intersect with Connor & Hank.
4) Specific game decisions by Connor will obviously be touched upon.
5) This work is set Mature due to Hank's (and Gavin's) "colorful" choices of language, some of the violence depicted in the game, and scenes at the Eden Club.Bookmarked by endyourlifu

Androids don’t sleep. Not even deviants. But they do have to process: run diagnostics, allow for the cool down of systems, sort and store memories. After countless life-and-death scenarios, Connor’s programs certainly have a lot of material to work with. But sometimes all those new emotions can make processing… difficult.

Summary
Cole loved dinosaurs. He’d loved everything about them; their history, their lifespans, all the different kinds of dinosaurs archaeologists had found. His favorite dinosaur was the Brachiosaurus, simply because of the name – Cole could barely pronounce it, but that’s what made him love it so much. Cole had told Hank on his sixth birthday that he wanted to be, “A dinosaur person,” when he grew up, and he’d said it with such conviction that Hank never doubted for a split second that his boy wouldn’t make that a reality.
Three weeks later, he was dead. Just like the dinosaurs.
Today was Cole’s birthday. He would have been ten.

"Sumo, this better be worth it," he checked the alarm clock. 2:32 AM. "Fucking Christ." Hank stood up, and slowly made his way out the door, careful to not trip over the mess on his floor.
The Saint Bernard seemingly ran to the kitchen, whining softly, urging Hank to follow.
Hank picked up his pace a bit, the strange activity putting him on edge a bit. Hairs on his arm stood up as he entered the kitchen
What he saw wasn't an intruder, no, but an android curled in on himself by the cabinets. His LED was a golden yellow, flickering red every so often.
"Connor?"

Hank wakes up to a very persistent dog, and the night evolves into comforting an android he thinks of as a son.

Connor looked momentarily taken aback by the question. “A little,” he said after a pause, his voice tinged with confusion. “I’m not sure.”
It dawned on Hank that Connor was truly a deviant now, fully self-aware and in control. Yet, he seemed more lost than ever, standing there in the snow with nothing but a thin CyberLife jacket on, slightly shivering.
