Summary
Lucifer is in a happy relationship with his partner, Alastor. He's the perfect gentleman, he takes care of Lucifer, and he adores Lucifer's darling daughter. The problem is that Lucifer suspects that Alastor might be hiding something; something dark. When Lucifer finally uncovers Alastor's secret, Lucifer is wrought with despair and conflict. Slowly, however, he learns to live with it.
After all, Alastor would never hurt him, right?

Lilith has returned. She has all the cards in her hands and Alastor's invisible leash wrapped around her perfect fingers - but no one who has played poker with Alastor would suggest counting him out before the game is over.
Alastor has faced some of the greatest evils that have ever existed - has stood firm in back alleys against overlords stronger than him, has several times dodged exorcist spears and even divine guitars.
He is NOT going to be defeated by a fucking HOTEL ROOM and the desperate housewife from HELL.
Alternative summary: Alastor spends a sizeable amount of time locked in single combat with a hotel room door, Vaggie grows as a person, Lucifer Morningstar is Very Concerned that his ex-wife and current-whatever may be getting along too well, Charlie spends a lot of time being confused, Frederick von Eldrich comes out of retirement with style, the Archangel Michael develops a headache, and Vox attempts to de-bug his conscience.
There are also copious musical references for no good reason whatsoever.

Alastor has a pretty good thing going with Lucifer, and though he has questions as to just how much Lucifer truly cares about this little arrangement they have, he feels as though he has a firm place at the king's side. It isn't until Lilith returns to the hotel that he fears he may have just been cast aside. Worse, he's starting to have bouts of nausea.

When Charlie calls and begs him to come to the hotel, he never expected to see Alastor off all people there. Lucifer wants to be angry, wants Alastor to explain the truth. But why does Alastor look so tired. So frail and like there's something he wants to say? Did something happen? Lucifer is desperate to learn the truth. And just maybe, they'll take eachother back.

Lucifer is basically stalking the Radio Demon because he 'cannot be trusted', but Alastor is more elusive than he expected. Despite Charlie strong-arming them both into many of her redemption activities, Lucifer still hasn't discovered Alastor's true intentions and it's driving him up the wall.
When an attack on the hotel results in Alastor intentionally taking a hit to save Lucifer from some weird, unknown weapon, Lucifer is more confused than ever. Alastor is dying in front of them and no one understands why.
Lucifer is spinning his wheels. Why did the Radio Demon save him? What was that weapon? What secrets is Alastor keeping? Is Hell in danger? Is Lucifer? What is going on!?

LaCroix ceased as he was about to pull a blank check from the drawer, his brows drew together in puzzlement. “No?”
“No, I’m more interested to hear what’s our next move is considering the blood is still out there.”
This was most certainly new. Of all the people he had employed, never had he met someone who blatantly refused to be paid. This was certainly new and it very much confused the Prince.
Just what exactly was she playing here? If this was a game at all. LaCroix had learned it the hard way that nothing is free in this world. Everyone would always want something out of everyone, a favor for a favor, an eye for an eye. Though he was curious to find out what her intent was, LaCroix knew better than to indulge his curiosity. If anything, never attempt to win by force what can be won by deception.
