Summary

As their relationship grows more complicated, will Azriel be able to keep his personal feelings separate from the mission? Or will everything crash and burn?

When rumblings of a strange threat in Hybern starts to make the courts nervous, he leaps at the chance to escape from Autumn and make a difference. Especially when he finds out that Azriel, the infuriating Illyrian who he definitely does not waste time thinking about, has been given the same task.
Azriel would do anything to make those he loves happy... but that definitely does not include the caustic, aloof heir to the Autumn Court, Eris. But when he and Eris are thrown together against a dangerous threat, Azriel starts to realise that maybe the High Fae isn't the fickle, uncaring creature that he'd always imagined.
This is an epic love story between two fae as they try to save Prythian and avoid falling in love in the process. They are more successful at one of those things than the other.

Summary
The High Fae of Prythian are slow to trust and even slower to change so while the peace talks and trade with the human lands and between courts are not prospering like Feyre had hoped they would, at least things were quiet.
Everyone is grateful for the tentative peace they have enjoyed in the 3 years since the ending of ACOSF but the ultra relaxed stance of the inner circle grates on Azriel's nerves as Illyrians start to go missing at the edges of their borders.
There is something sinister targeting the courts of Prythian and the Night Court’s Spymaster finds it increasingly aggravating that he can’t pinpoint the source. What will he decide to do when he is faced with the possibility of losing so much, even things he didn’t realize he had?
