Cas doesn’t look like a monster.

John stands, slow. He holds out a hand. Calloused like Dean’s hands are calloused. Scarred the same way that Dean’s hands are scarred. There’s the smell of him in the air too. Earthy and dark, slightly sour around the edges. The room feels suddenly choked with it. Claustrophobic.
Cas probably smells like the fabric softener they buy in bulk at Costco, but so does Dean so he can’t tell.

Castiel didn't say a word as Dean got out of bed and threw on his jacket. He just hovered like he always did, perched and waiting, and Dean made a face at him as he fixed his collar and went to fetch his boots by the door.
"No, and I would suggest you keep this between us," Cas said carefully.
Dean laughed. "Yeah, I bet you do."
Or, when Castiel raises Dean from Hell, his handprint bestows them with an accidental bond, and what starts as a decision to help Dean through his Hell nightmares, becomes an attachment neither of them is willing to break.

Summary
Gideon and Harrow are university students who end up, to their great disgust, cast in the same Shakespeare play.
When Dulcinea Septimus, aspiring director, asks Gideon Nav if she wants to audition for Hamlet - the play she’s directing - Gideon says yes with no hesitation. Unfortunately, Gideon’s rival since childhood, Harrowhark Nonagesimus has been cast as the titular character. This would have been fine, if Gideon hadn’t been cast as Horatio, Hamlet’s best friend.
Forced to get along until show week, or at least not kill each other in the rehearsal room, Gideon and Harrow must try to make amends. And in doing so, they realise that Dulcinea may have not made a bad decision in casting them together after all.

It was excruciating to watch, but at the moment, felt preferable to watching Gideon awkwardly scratch her head and ask “How’s stall set-up going?” as if it would ever be possible for the two of them to have a normal conversation.

Summary
It’s been several months since the events of 15x19, and the world is at ease. Dean Winchester isn’t, though.
It takes a drunken night and a conversation with Sam for the Winchesters and a newly depowered Jack to start working on a way to get to the Empty to bring back Castiel, their angel best friend. After several weeks, the team enlist the assistance of the new Queen of Hell and find a spell. With Rowena’s help, Cas is finally back, alive, and for a moment everything looks brighter. Jack and Sam are ecstatic, and Dean’s had enough time to figure out what he wants to tell Cas. He’s ready to speak his truth.
Except, Cas doesn’t seem to recognize Jack, and the first thing he does is ask Dean how he’s managed to get rid of the mark. He doesn’t remember that Chuck, the flimsy prophet he met years ago, was God and that they just beat his ass. Actually, there’s a lot he doesn’t remember… Including telling Dean he loved him before getting taken by the Empty.
Now starts a different quest- figuring out what’s keeping a newly human Cas from remembering the past 5 years by their side, and helping him regain the memories he’s lost.
Of course, as is custom for Winchesters, nothing goes as planned.

Summary

Cas can think of only one being who might be powerful enough to stop Michael. But to summon him means a trip back in time to recruit none other than himself, from when he believed he could become the new God. This story reimagines the events from Jack’s birth up through Dean’s possession by Michael with one major change: What if Dean had expressed his true feelings as soon as Cas returned from the Empty?
