Summary
The write of my very first "In the Heights" fic. Starting from when Usnavi takes Sonny in to when Sonny is a teenager, the story of their lives together and how it shaped Sonny as a person. This will include things like the process of Usnavi adopting Sonny, learning to raise a child (a gifted child at that when he himself can barely read), Sonny coming to terms with his sexuality, and general teenage angst, family angst, and a lot of fluff. References to "Rochambeau" if you squint, but definitely can work outside of the Rochambeau universe.

“Dude, you have to kiss me,” Mike attempts to reason with Will, holding his hands out in front of him and wearing his most convincing grin, “it’s supposed to show trust. We can’t make an effective promise without it.”
“Are you sure this is legit?” Will tilts his head, looking skeptical. “I’m pretty sure that no spit swear should work like this.”
“Of course I’m sure.” Mike tries to look as confident as possible. “The kiss is what seals the deal. That’s why they call it the spit swap spit swear. We need to try it.”
When Dustin makes up a new variant of the famous spit swear as a joke, Mike tests its effectiveness with Will a series of times, for the experiment and nothing more. As anyone would have expected, it starts to seriously blur the lines in Will and Mike’s friendship.

You hear about abductions, about parents turning away for a split-second and their children disappearing into thin air, and you think they must be justifying their own neglect. Surely, they must have not been watching close enough if someone could steal their kid out from under their nose. Of the two of them, Finney is sure his dad would be glad to see him go. Robin has his mom and his uncle, and he stands tall and stubborn and proud in a way that Finney thinks means he's never gotten hit by someone who was supposed to protect him. He doesn't resent Robin for that. The idea of someone hurting Robin the way his dad hurts Gwen makes Finney see red.

(Another retelling of TBP 2, but this time Robin comes back)
Gwen is having dreams again and Finney won't hear it. Her mom called from some youth camp Robin Arellano is still in the basement. Not only that, he somehow grew up. Gwen is intent on finding out why all this is happening and how to help her brother's dead best friend. Camp Alpine seems to be the only way.
Finney has been ignoring calls like a pro for the past three years. So when he gets to Alpine Lake and not only calls, but DREAMS, he's forced to face reality: the Grabber is dead not gone, but it may be the same for his best friend. It's clear to him that he needs to help Robin (whatever that entails) and kill his kidnapper. For good, this time.
(I hate descriptions so bad but trust, I do have an okay outline for this. I'm basically just coping but COPE WITH ME I BEG)
