Summary
Yu burns the evidence Adachi places before him. It must have been curiosity, he reasons, because he is not sure himself why else he would have done it. He supposes someone else, some higher force, must have had the same question. Yu goes to sleep on the train ride home and finds himself thrown back one year prior, on a train heading towards Inaba again.
It's April 2011, he has been granted a second chance, and he's not sure what to do with himself except to fixate on his mistakes. One mistake in particular, in the form of an altogether wretched man. Adachi doesn't know him anymore, but he does. He knows it all.

Summary
Five years ago in Inaba, a wildcard betrayed his friends and helped a murderer walk free. Now, as Medjed’s threat thrusts the spotlight on the Phantom Thieves and the Second Detective Prince racing to unmask them, police from all over Japan are called to Tokyo to help the investigation. And as the familiar silhouette of a boy with a briefcase appears on TV sets at midnight, it’s only a matter of time before someone gives the people what they want.
(On the eve of Medjed's defeat, Goro Akechi gets thrown into the TV.)

Summary
“Come on, Ren-kun,” Yukari nudges Ren as he slumps. “I dove into being Pink Argus with little experience myself, and I haven’t regretted it since. Maybe you’ll feel the same.”
Ren thinks about it. His life really couldn’t and shouldn’t revolve completely around the shadow world, he supposes. And he’s not obligated to do any more than this if acting doesn’t agree with him after all.
Ann’s going to freak. Futaba is going to lose her shit.
“You remember the Phantom Thieves of Hearts business a few years back?” The director asks. “It won’t be a complete one to one, but I do have to admit that this series’ plot is loosely based on it.”
Okay, now that’s just unfair. Now Ren has to take the role.
So that’s how Ren becomes a Featherman Ranger.
Or, Amamiya Ren becomes a Featherman actor, bases his character off Akechi, and the real Akechi Goro disastrously simps from afar.

Really, really good Accomplice End angst. I particularly like the continuous callouts by his city contacts that it seemed like he hadn't changed one bit from the morose suited boy we saw at the beginning of Persona 4. The progression of his dreaming was also quite good. Some excerpts:
---
"Do you think I've changed...?""Maybe," Yosuke said with an audible shrug. "But that's life, y'know? No big deal."
---
"I still can't quite believe it," one of his classmates said while attempting to hold a conversation with him. "A whole year stuck out in the country. What was it like?""It was..." So many things. Too many things to say. And nothing he felt worthy of. "...pretty nice."
"You don't have to be polite, you can say it was boring as hell."
Yu shrugged.
"Well, you certainly haven't changed," his classmate sighed.
---
His father chuckled. "Even after a whole year away from me and your mother, you haven't changed a bit. You've always been a remarkably self-sufficient boy."
---
"I mean, if I did something bad. Like if I broke the law or something. What would you and dad do?"His mother shook her head with a confused, if slightly exasperated smile. "Yu, you're not making any sense."
"Never mind," he intoned. "It's nothing."
His mother finished with his tie and cupped his face with a light laugh. "You're always so quiet, but when you talk, you sometimes say the oddest things. You haven't changed a bit, Yu."
---
That night, Yu's dreams were familiar, featuring a steadily lonelier life and an ever creeping sense of isolation.
---
That night, Yu's dreams were of funeral flowers, an empty house, and a small grave.
---
That night, Yu's dreams were of burning paper, soot burned fingertips, and screaming in the fog.
---
That night, Yu's dreams were of shadowy hands, an eldritch presence, and being dragged down into an abyss of fog. He actually woke up in the middle of it all, just barely managing to stop himself from screaming.
---
That night, he dreamt of nothing because he didn't sleep at all.
---
He dreamt of a sea of fog."Oh?" said a voice, one so powerful it made the fog tremble and his bones rattle. "You're really coming back?"

The culprit of P4 "accidentally" murders someone (despite knowing full-well their actions would almost certainly lead to death). This fic does a haunting mirror of that concept - what if P4MC also had that kind of event in his past? ...This is what you get.
Really, really well done fic.
