It was absolutely ridiculous to think anyone would want to date the girl who insisted her birth name was Violence no matter how anyone prettied her up. It was a doomed project and she should say as much.

“It's your birthday, a little more attitude,” says Chloe to herself and puts on her red bathrobe to go downstairs, maybe there's something useful in the fridge and gets a nice surprise when she enters the kitchen. “Happy Birthday” warbled Max, Kate and Victoria almost in synchrony.
“Holy shit,” Chloe said in amazement.
The kitchen area resembles a small festively decorated birthday corner with all the trimmings and literally blows the blue-haired woman away. Max has the privilege of hugging her warmly first. “Happy birthday, my heart,” says the lady of the house and holds Chloe with all her might so that she doesn't get lost again. “Well...people, honestly,” says the tattooed lady, visibly moved and wipes the tears from her eyes with one hand.
