Summary
Apparently life gives you a golden spoon or lemons. Izuku has found that there's a third, secret alternative to the metaphor: Life shot Izuku in the ankle, put a spare band-aid on the wound, and forced him on the track. But blood soaks through cheap cotton quickly enough, and Izuku’s unsure if keeping himself from bleeding out is worth it.

An alternative take on the vigilante trope. Izuku’s alone, and despite everything pushing him to become a part of the ”quirkless deaths and disappearances” statistic, his good (or terrible?) luck keeps him on track. World’s number one hero? How about number one vigilante?

Summary
Midoriya Izuku died six months ago in the dead of the night. He and his mother went out in a sleeping, burning glory; a strange, complete accident.
That’s what the papers said, at least. They certainly paid no mind to the boy walking around in the quiet hours of the night. They certainly never asked about Midoriya Hisashi either.
Todoroki Shouto felt like he should have died a long time ago. He certainly was considering that now, staring down at this stupid man and his stupid, rusted wire. A strange, complete waste of a fight; a tragic death in a gross, empty backroad. His father would just burn at the news.
That thought was almost enough to make him smile, green flashing in his vision as his fate finally aligned.

Nedzu was no longer Izuku’s godfather. Now he was his father. Midoriya Izuku would always be Inko’s son, but now, he was also Nedzu’s son. His legacy.
Nedzu let a grin spread on his face. “Don’t worry, Inko,” he whispered quietly. “I’ll take good care of Izuku.”

Summary
After his dream is finally crushed, Izuku isn’t quite sure there’s anything left for him to live for, but...he can’t exactly kill himself either, not without hurting the people he cares the most about. So, when he realizes that the quirkless can’t technically be vigilantes, it seems like the best of both worlds. He’ll be able to save people even without being a hero and, if he happens to die while he’s at it...well, like Kacchan said, maybe he’d be born with a quirk in the next life.
