Daniel cocks a brow. “Yet what?”
The light catches on Armand’s alarmingly bright eyes. “Even after everything… I am surprised to see your desire for me is still strong.”
Daniel's stomach turns. Flips over so furiously he's left momentarily speechless. And then, he's bolting up from his chair, and ignores the woozy rush it deploys to his head.
“My desire for you?” he bites out, squaring up to hide his unease. “You’re fucking kidding me, right?”
Armand’s mouth, which has been the source of confusion on more than one occasion, is mostly a straight line, only a slight curl at its corner.
