Summary
1835— The heiress of the Rochechouart family has returned to her ancestral home, safe from the tyrannical hold of the baron who ruined her. But as the months pass, more trials and tribulations come to light.

Summary
1834— A disgruntled, loathed baron has become obsessed with captivating young women and seducing them, only to take their virginity before they meet death; however, his fits of hunger become darker and deeper than most imagined. He abducts women into sexual servitude until they fulfill his needs; the pit in the black room holds all his secrets, and all of their skeletons.
However, in his castle, he holds hostage his new fianceé, the daughter of a French vicomte who outranks him in power and position. Throughout the course of several months, he ruins her in ways that shame and scar her.
His twin brother also returns and finally sets into motion the prophecy that was bestowed at the time of their birth, all the while as he falls in love with the young future vicomtesse. 18+
