Guest1337 hesitated in the doorway of the engineering bay, the weight of his gear bag biting into his shoulder.
The space was cramped and filled with the mechanical hum of machinery and the sharp, acrid stench of burnt circuits mixed with the ever-present tang of grease.
He stepped inside cautiously, scanning for an open space to drop his gear, someplace out of the way.
He didn't find one.
Instead, as he moved toward an empty-looking workbench near the back.
“Hey! Move your pack. That’s my station.”

“Sam.” Tommy leaned against the counter of the coffee shop, staring Sam straight in the eyes. “I’ve been thinking.”
“Alright,” Sam replied. He smiled, looking so much more easy going than he used to. “What about?”
Tommy bit the inside of his cheek. “If you were solely in charge of imprisoning the most dangerous man in the country, what would you do?”
Sam’s smile slid off of his face, and his brows scrunched up in concentration. “That’s a hard one,” he admitted. “I’d probably do everything within my power to make sure he didn’t escape. If he’s the most dangerous.”
“Yeah,” Tommy said hollowly. “I guess you would.”

Summary
When Tommy wakes up in a completely new world he is completely lost on what he should do. His friends are very similar, bar physical adaptations and yet the history of the server is very different to the one hes used to. Better yet none of them know he is not their Tommy and even better yet he has no idea how to get back to normalacy. He is trapped.
Its lucky that Tommy has always been one for adapting to strange situations.
(DSMP!Tommy and Origin!Tommy are swapped into each others worlds and must learn to adapt and find their way back to their servers - thats if, of course, they want to return home at all...)

September 20th, 2022. Xxx xxxxx police station. I’m Detective Sneeg here with Thomas Innit-Wastaken under confession of the ‘Smiley killings’.
“So,” the other man spoke up, “Eight confirmed kills. That’s a hefty number for a seventeen year old.”
He spoke so casually, as if he was talking about the weather, or a sports game.“So do you not believe me?”
“Well, we wouldn’t be in this room if they didn’t,” the detective replied smoothly.
“I don’t care about what the police department or whatever thinks. I’m asking if you think I’m innocent,” Tommy urged.
There was a moment where the man thought of a reply, and then he said, “Looking at you now, I do not think you did it.”

The royal family of Antarctic empire isn’t exactly close.
Emperor Philza is always occupied; Tommy hasn’t seen Techno in months, and even if Wilbur is here, their relationship can be described to be strained at best.
The royal family doesn’t need to be close, however, it only needs to be balanced, like the pillars holding the country above their heads – as long as they are strong and steady, the Empire will be too. It’s the principle that held Tommy’s back straight and his shoulders broad through the years of hardships and trials of errors; through yet another formal meeting where his father’s gaze would look past him and where his brother’s words would be filled with poison that makes the deepest parts of his soul ache.
At that time, Tommy couldn't know that his family would find a replacement for him in the face of a commoner boy named Ranboo.

“You don’t wish humanity harm,” Wilbur mocked. “Oh, sure. Tell that to the hundreds of machines just like you who burnt our cities, destroyed our homes, and killed our young!”
Tommy really didn’t know what was going on anymore, but he thought maybe it was time to intervene.
“Wilbur, you’re being very silly right now,” he said. “Sammy is very nice, and he treats me perfectly fine. He hasn’t killed anyone.”
Or, in a world where robots have taken over, Sam Nook takes care of a very human Tommy.
