"Mark? I don't know a Mark," Chenle says.
"Neither did I until, like, two hours ago."
"Right," Chenle says, the word drawn-out, judging. "Are you sure it's him?"
Renjun thinks back to when their hands touched, compares it to the mild irritation he felt when a random student knocked into him in the corridor, and groans when he realises there is no other explanation.
"Our hands touched when I took his pencil. I felt the spark."
"The spark?"
"Yes, the spark, Chenle. You know the one," Renjun says and sits up, back against the wall, fingers clasping the golden dust again. "And I liked talking to him. He was so nice."
Chenle stares, a long, steady gaze that doesn't waver, only judges, and Renjun sinks deeper into the mattress, wishing he could slide down the tiny gap between the bed and the wall and curl up and never face the world again.
"I'm so fucked."

Renjun's soulmate dust starts to glow yellow after meeting Mark. But Mark's is still grey.

"I'm not really supposed to tell my clients this..." Ten begins. Yangyang nearly spills his coffee down his shirt.
"I'm your client?" Yangyang racks his brain for any time he could have accidentally paid for something, any dodgy websites he put his details into. That time he got drunk at Jeno's birthday, perhaps.
"Yes? No? Sort of." Ten decides. Yangyang stares at him, unimpressed. "My last client got fed up of me."
"Hardly surprising." Yangyang sasses under his breath, then takes a long sip of his coffee. Ten ignores him.
"And then the one before that... let's just say I sort of made things... worse?" Ten winces, but a smile settles across his lips in a way that gives Yangyang no confidence in the man on his sofa at all. "I don't even know why I'm telling you this."
"You're not selling yourself very well. Just get on with it."
"I'm a guardian angel." Ten finally says. Then he adds, "of sorts."
Yangyang spits coffee across the carpet.
