Maybe it was all the lessons on torture with his killer aunt, or perhaps the suffocating anxiety of making one wrong move in front of the Dark Lord, or maybe the smell of blood that seemed to be stained in the floors and in the walls and in his nostrils, but his appetite had vanished that spring, and it hadn't come back.

Alexander is on the road to recovery. He has to be. Unfortunately Thomas isn't dealing very well with what Alexander did. Lafayette is still reeling from what he did to Aaron. Eliza is struggling to piece together her life. Aaron is refusing to get help and is instead insisting he's fine. This is, of course, the perfect time to throw a new foster child into the mix.
But with King hunting for Thomas's love and willing to play dirty, Adams and Reynolds's trial coming up and Aaron's uncle about to be released from prison, recovery might be even more difficult than they could have imagined.Series

George King has lived a lavish, luxurious life, groomed from birth to be the perfect heir to his grandfather's business empire. He's had everything he's ever needed or wanted, right? He's happy, isn't he? Maybe a change of scenery from London to New York is all he needs.
Alexander Hamilton has worked his way from nothing to be (in his opinion) the best damn journalist in New York. He wants to win a Pulitzer one day, and a fluff piece about some British business heir isn't going to be what wins it for him, but an assignment is an assignment.
Thomas Jefferson is just fine where he is, thank you. He's doing well as a lawyer in Virginia. No need to think about that boy he let slip through his hands years ago. Everything is coming up peaches.
Life has a funny way of working out sometimes.

Jefferson felt his fatigue weigh down on his shoulders and fell in the seat adjacent to the patient's bed. He threw one leg over the other and used the makeshift "table" to scratch notes on the margins of his still-empty paper. He looked up at his patient once before standing to hover over him once again. He noted the bruises along the side of his frail body and pondered on what the hell happened to this man before he ended up… there.
Thomas narrowed his eyes and gave his patient one last look before exiting the room, turning off the lights behind him, and shutting the door soundlessly.
