It feels like an embrace, but it’s cold and wrong, and it makes her tremble even harder, because the honmoon has never felt like that. Not to her.

Summary
Zoey is blatantly in love with both of them. She had been terrified of screwing things up, until she realised that Rumi was totally in love with Mira. Which only served to make her feel like more of an ass, until she realised that Rumi was also totally into her. Rumi being in love with her sort of threw a wrench in everything, because Zoey could tell that Mira was in love with Rumi back, so she felt even worse about all of that.
And then she realised Mira was also in love with her.
It started off as small things, picking up on looks that previously were only exchanged with Rumi—though, the more Zoey thinks about it, she also might have been a little oblivious back then—making Mira laugh at things that were really not that funny, casual touches. It’s obvious enough that they’re all in love with each other, or, at the very least, like each other in a more-than-just-friendly way.
If anything, everything has gotten a million times worse, since Zoey is now stuck with the terrible burden of knowledge, which has seemed to elude Mira and Rumi both.

More importantly, though, he knew that Fjord and Jester loved each other. And he should know better than to get in the way of that. Anyone with any fucking sense wouldn’t get in the way of that.
But he had looked into Jester’s eyes, and into Fjord’s, paralyzed by their attention on him, and he had said yes.

The two of them had been keyed up already by the time they got back to their rooms, and it made it all the easier for Fjord to direct them right where he wanted them, to get them desperate.
