In the wake of Gotham War, Dick decides to give Bruce one final chance, but he doesn’t believe it will last very long. Bruce claims that Zur is gone, and, well, Dick believes that. It’s just that the problem didn’t start with Zur, so why would it end with him? Bruce has been hitting his apprentices since Dick was eight years old. He’s said he would stop before, and sometimes, it’s even lasted a while. But Bruce breaks all of his promises, sans one, and Dick is just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Summary
At first, Jason was vaguely annoyed with how much Bruce's brother favored Dick to him. Then, Jason started to see signs that there was more to Thomas's relationship with Dick than mere favoritism. Something sinister.
However, even in his wildest imagination, he never could have anticipated Thomas's intentions. For years, Thomas had been molding Dick to one single purpose: summoning the demon known as Talon.
(Medieval AU: Jason accompanies Dick and Thomas on what appears to be a diplomatic trip, but slowly Jason starts to get suspicious due to Thomas's unnerving behavior towards Dick and navigation points not lining up. Culminating in Thomas using Dick's body as a vessel for a demon (Talon) and Jason needing to be silenced. However, Jason Todd never stays dead for long.)

Summary
Jason is only a vertical corpse encased in compact mud when Death reaches down and pulls, tugs him up through the ground. It takes little effort. Death is a sensible thing, but bringing Jason back from the dead for the fourth time is not a sensible thing to do. She is messing with something more dangerous than herself.
He’ll be fine, she thinks. She hopes his father will come get him, thinks of how overjoyed they will be to have Jason back. And so Death steps back. She’ll let the living handle Jason Todd.
Jason dies fourteen times before anyone seems to notice.

Summary
The first memory Jason has is waking up on the operating table, his dose of anesthesia half what it should have been, and looking down his body at his cracked open chest.
He’s lucky to be alive, they tell him; he can’t remember his last name. Next came physical therapy, discharge, a temporary Wayne Fund apartment. His GED, his undergrad, and med school. A life.
Still, Jason has never managed to shake the memory of where he started: bright lights, the warm insides of his own body, and the iron-cauterized scent of blood. Yeah, Jason believes in heaven and Hell. Jason believes in punishment, and the afterlife.
OR
Amnesiatic Jason works in a hospital, trying to pick up the pieces of his forgotten life, and fights in an underground boxing ring to make ends meet. But Gotham's systems are corrupt, something is brewing in its underbelly, and Jason doesn’t know if he can trust the vigilantes stalking his city at night.

He’s just got it in his hands, the feel of the velvet dust jacket on his fingertips, the smell of warm pastry from the instore cafe, when it hits him.

Summary
"Come on," the boy whispers pleadingly, holding up what looks like a half eaten apple in an attempt to coax Ace out of her pen, though it seems to no avail. She stands with as much indifference and care as a brick wall.
Bruce, who's been around for enough decades that he thinks he might be constituted as old by mythological terms, has never had someone outright try to rob his horse. His armour, sure, sometimes even his weapons and bags — though no one makes it very far on broken legs with either.
But his horse?
It's so bizarre, in fact, that Bruce can't stop the bubbling laughter rip out of his throat.
