Lex was stunned—he remembers thinking at the time, Are teenagers today fucking idiots?

"Yep," says Luthor—Lex, popping the 'p' like bubble gum. "And then you rescued me, gave me mouth-to-mouth, and the rest is history."
Clark's brain gets jammed on the 'mouth-to-mouth' part, and it takes him several seconds to hear Chloe mutter under her breath, "Oh my god, the heart really does remember."

"Here's what's going to happen," Lex announced as he stepped out of one of the Watchtower's boom tubes with Mercy in tow, both of them at a pace matching that of a tiger, stride for stride. Before Clark or any of the other Leaguers present could protest—and Bruce was going to be pissed once he heard about this—Lex bulldozed on, "I'm going to arrange to have authentic papers drawn up declaring Clark Kent..." he looked right at Clark as he hissed his name out, "...as Kon's father and primary guardian, in exchange for a roughly equal split in visitation rights, to be adjusted on an ad hoc basis. If you refuse, I'll order a paternity test, sue for custody, and I will win. The choice is yours."
There was no doubt in Clark's mind that he would.

Keith bites his lip. That alone should be reason enough for him to reject Lance’s request. Trying to act like his heart isn’t collapsing on itself like a black hole every time he sees Shiro during their dinners, on top of carefully steering clear of any direct contact with the Garrison on Coalition-related business, is already hard enough.
What Lance is asking for is roughly tantamount to self-immolation and Keith, for all that he’s a self-admitted glutton for punishment, doesn’t think he’s quite reached that point yet.
