damian thinks that violet, his fellow teammate and girlfriend of almost a year, is on the brink on death when she skips out on a mission. she never skips out on anything. a mission, sparring in the training room, watching gar eat his way through half a pound of tofu and then throw it all up, she's always there. so when he finds her suffering from something he can't fix, he makes it his goal to make her as comfortable as possible.

He was fairly sure he’d never get over how good it felt to kiss Jaime. To be touched the way Jaime touched him, so sure and warm. His body lit up like a flame set on high every time, his insides transforming to liquid gold that pooled low, low, low, his heart thudding lightning-quick and purposeful against his ribs.

It wasn't like you were stupid. No, you dotted your i's and crossed your t's and did all the shit that a citizen of a shit hole like Gotham City did. You carried a taser, kept out of alleys, travelled with a companion.
And it had kept you (relatively) untraumatized for the entirety of the 21 years of your existence. Sure, you'd seen some gruesome things, but that was normal. You weren't the type that made a stupid decision and got screwed over. You were smart.
Of course, that flew out the window with the goddamn Red Hood of all people. You had to be stupid with him.

"Get out of your head?" Damian squawked, indignant. "Get out mine!"
He sounded outraged, but all that Tim felt was fear.
Shit.
Bile built up in the back of Tim's throat. He was going to throw up. He was going to throw up.
Damian turned over and puked onto the ground.
OR:
Damian and Tim are kidnapped, brutally tortured, and bonded together. Now, their minds are fused and attached, and they are subjected to vicious training for a purpose neither knows.
Unfortunately, this brings them closer than anyone ever expected. In, perhaps, the worst way possible.
