“A prison’s still a prison, cousin,” Erik says, leaning against the wall in what he hopes looks like nonchalance but is mostly the fact that the room is starting to spin. “How long you think you can keep me here? Be honest.”
T’Challa pauses on his way out the door, a step, maybe two away from Erik. He looks strong, clean and composed, with none of the blood and desperation Erik remembers from their last battle.
“We’re going to do what you wanted,” T’Challa says. “Outreach. Revealing ourselves. Intervening in the world. It’s the right thing to do,” he nods, as if still trying to convince himself.
“That’s not what I wanted,” Erik says.

Summary
Time is linear, there's no going back and changing the past. Any fantasies to the contrary are best left to children and bitter adults with regrets. Then again, Wakanda had seemed like little more than a fairy tale to a kid from Oakland.
Erik dies over and over, but he's going to find a way to stop this. He's going to take the throne and kill anyone who gets in his way.
Now if only they would stay dead.

To reject a blessing is to reject Bast, to bring her wrath upon his family, upon Wakanda itself. T'Chaka has no choice but to bring N'Jobu's son back to Wakanda, the risk of leaving him behind now too high a price to pay. Percival turns at the sound of his name, swaying on the spot. A hand grips his shoulder. He looks up at green eyes and red hair, freckles dotting a face creased with concern.
“Scamander,” he rasps out. “Doctor, I need a doctor.”
Newt keeps him upright, but he doesn’t move. “You’re in heat,” he says, and it’s not a question.
