Yunho watches how Hongjoong’s eyes follow Seonghwa, who finally lets his eyes fall to Hongjoong, snatching the cigarette from his lips and coming to a stop just behind him. Wooyoung glances back, grinning as he watches Seonghwa bring the cigarette to his lips, inhaling deeply before leaning down and blowing the smoke out onto Hongjoong’s face.
“Still here, baby?” Seonghwa says low and teasing, placing the cigarette back between Hongjoong’s lips, as the man grinned faintly.

Summary
“I’m pregnant”. Yunho spat the words before he could lose the nerve completely and run in the opposite direction, as far away as possible from Mingi. Possibly forever. He said it with his eyes squeezed shut, so tightly that he felt the tears forming from the strain and discomfort. He was bracing for the worst.
“I’m… happy for you?” Mingi said after what felt like years. Yunho wasn’t sure how much time they had spent in silence, but it definitely felt like at least five minutes to him. He slowly opened his eyes, almost letting out a laugh at Mingi’s bewildered and still confused expression.
“It’s yours, Mingi. The pup is yours”.

Dropping the act, Seonghwa barely let him finish before asking a question Yunho never could have been prepared to answer. “Then how long have you been in love?” Pursing his lips, the older’s eerie glare only continued to build as Yunho spluttered, neck pushing back as a tangled astonishment crashed over his shoulders.
“What? I was never in love with her… Why the hell would I break up with her if I was in love?” He scoffed, hands trying and failing to rub some of the growing irritation away from his eyes. “Common Seonghwa, just say what you’re trying to get at. It's too early for the go around.”
“Fine,” he shrugged, taking a long righteous sip of coffee as Yunho groaned impatiently. No doubt in hell the bastard was enjoying himself.

Summary
Set in the early 2000’s in a small town.
Yunho has lived in this town all his life and chose to stay back, not entirely out of his own will but more so out of an obligation he placed on himself. He has a simple life, attends church, takes care of his parents and farm animals. He doesn’t expect to find himself drawn to the gas station worker.
Mingi wanted to run away from this damned town, as far away from his father as possible, but is stuck here working and living in a gas station. However, once he starts watching the church boy who passes by the station for mass on Sunday mornings, his life doesn’t seem so horrible anymore.
The two men find escape in each other, but it leaves Yunho choking on guilt, and Yunho’s guilt leaves Mingi resentful, like he's just some sin Yunho keeps committing and trying to wash off.

Summary
The Orchid has a reputation for brutality, one that has been earned through each blood-infused bloom planted in the city streets. His true identity is unknown, but his penchant for violence is no secret. However, the man behind the name is a walking contradiction, gentle and dangerous and intoxicating all in the same breath.

On a seemingly unrelated note, Park Seonghwa is a paramedic in the city who receives an ambulance call after a gunfight. Resigned to a solitary life after a difficult past, he has no desire to form connections with others, and his walls are impenetrable. He is not as innocent as he seems, however; flirting with danger comes naturally.
Park Seonghwa was never supposed to let himself care again. It’s a risk he can’t afford to take.

“Just because then,” the gunslinger amended with a slight pout, dragging the omega down by the hem of his long, leather duster to connect their lips fiercely.
For as much as they all liked to pretend that jobs like these were run-of-the-mill for them, one never knew when a kiss would be their last in the dangerous world they lived in.
