Summary
Kazuki was just using Rei's place to crash while he got his life together. That was all it was - a mutually beneficial arrangement. He got free rent, Rei got in-house laundry and food.
Except, maybe, that wasn't what kept him around.
Maybe Kazuki liked being with Rei, and maybe Rei liked having him around too.
But those kinds of thoughts were dangerous for an assassin.
And that was before they got the kid.

Summary
The constant in Rei's life was that he had Kazuki; his partner in crime and his partner in his free time. Kazuki is the only person he's ever trusted and possibly loved. Kazuki brought life and all the warm things into his life; he'd do anything for him. He left the mafia with him, the only home he's known, fled the city with him, became a fugitive with him for some time, and then became a co-parent to a child, who came from a broken home just like Rei did.
He loves his little family and he'd do anything to keep them safe.
Or: I watched ep. 3 and after all the trauma that was unleashed, I wanted to write an AU where Rei and Kazuki know each other's history (because they ARE each other's history) are sorta unhealthily codependent, as they were partnered at young ages and can only find safety in each other.

I knew you were a romantic, but this is just ridiculous,” Rei spits, crossing the floor to lean into Kazuki’s face. “If your soulmate is alive, they probably just want you to quit writing to them! How unlucky for them that you never could take a fucking hint!”

“What,” Kazuki hisses, “what!” His heart was racing, with giddiness and pure relief. There was an army of butterflies in his stomach.
“Can’t we talk about this later?” Rei urges, and if he didn’t know any better, Kazuki would say that Rei sounded desperate.
Smirking, Kazuki wiggles his brows at Rei wildly, “aw, you wanna kiss me so bad.”Nine times out of ten, Rei is predictably closed off and cold. But that ten percent was beginning to grow faster than Kazuki was ready for.

Summary
"Reki, are you ok?" Langa asks.
At that moment, Reki could feel all the pain. His back mostly, it felt horrible. The bruises he knew were gonna form, but his back was killing him. It hurt so bad.
"Probably not." He grins weakly.
Before Langa could say anything, something caught his attention. He frowns at whatever he's looking at, and Reki follows his gaze to a guy standing in front of them.

Summary
Now that Prince Langa is seventeen, his mother is making him entertain suitors. He begrudgingly goes along with it, swearing that he won't like any of the suitors and won't have to marry any of them anyway. When he meets the suitors, he thinks he's right, he's not particularly interested in any of them, though he is enjoying his growing friendship with Prince Reki.
At night, Prince Langa throws off his princely personality and finds freedom at S, an underground skating community right there in the capital city. He can be himself while he's skating, having no other expectations other than to be awesome as Snow. When a new competitor shows up out of the blue with a fiery passion for skating that Langa has never seen before, he finds himself falling head over heels for the mystery skater.
With political tensions rising, his mother breathing down his back about suitors, and his desperate pining after the mysterious Red, Prince Langa finds himself in over his head.

"My entire Japanese family's made up of billionaires." Langa corrected.
"Okay, so in conclusion, my classmate is the grandson of a terrifying yakuza boss that we're working for, who's working for the government"
"Yeah..." Langa then realized that sentence had an odd ring to it. "What do you mean?" he asked.
"I mean like...your granddad is like the most powerful yakuza boss here in japan. I just said that earlier. Even you know." Reki replied.
"Yeah, but...you said 'we' are working for." Langa pointed out. Reki's eyes widened and he suddenly panicked. "Reki..." Langa called out.
"Are you part of a yakuza?"

"I'm tired of thinking about confessions. I wish people would leave me alone. I just want to spend time with you," he said honestly, and Reki made a choking noise that Langa didn't really hear because the best idea ever suddenly popped into his mind.
He abruptly stood, facing Reki with an intense expression on his face.
"What!? What?!" Reki squawked as Langa grabbed his upper arms.
"We should date," he said firmly. The silence that followed was interrupted only by the soft whirring of the fan as it oscillated back and forth, the wind tossing Reki's hair about.

It's been a year since Prince Langa smiled. The queen offers a reward to anyone who can fix that. Reki would give it a try, but he's pretty sure being the one who broke the prince's heart disqualifies him.
“You’ve been quiet. Are you jealous?”
Reki lurches up. “Jealous of what?”
Miya’s brow angles impossibly higher. “Of all the attention the prince is getting?”
Right, of course. That’s what anyone would be jealous over. “I just don’t believe it. Prince Langa isn’t…” he waves one hand, frowning, “...like that.”
“Ha,” Miya crows. “Like you’d know.”
But he does. And Reki thinks: I could do it. I could make him smile. I’ve done it before.

Summary
a Sk8 the infinity Surfer/Mermaid AU. Reki is a lonely human working at a surf shop, and Langa is a curious merman, captivated by the boy with the bright red hair.
Basically, I'm on holiday visiting family on a beautiful island, and spending time by the beach naturally got me daydreaming about mermaid AUs. I figured I'd word-vomit those daydreams onto a word document and share them with whoever is interested!
Once I've posted the first chapter, I'll mark the work as complete. But I'll continue writing and adding more chapters as long as my inspiration lasts! They'll be stand-alone entries into the same universe, in no particular order. Feel free to subscribe and come along for the journey!

Summary
Reki enters a contest to design the best board and having designed many different skateboards, figures this would be awesome to be recognized for his talents. What he didn't realize was that it was a surfboard design contest and not a contest for a skateboard. 'I thought it was a longboard!' Of course Langa saw right through it all, and even knew what the grand prize was.
A vacation at a local beach in Okinawa with free surfboard rentals. Now they just need to know how they are going to spend the night ... and learn to surf. That last part might be a problem ...

"Don't worry," Langa promised as he slumped down next to him, resting his head on Reki's shoulder. "I told you I'd keep you warm."

Reki stares at the top of her head for a long moment, his ears ringing ever so slightly. Her hair is so long that it nearly touches the pavement while she’s bent over like that. He takes so long to answer that Tanaka stands up straight again. Her cheeks are flushed bright red.
“What delinquent ways?” Reki finally asks.
Or: Someone likes Reki. If only there was one tiny thing different about him. Surprising no one except Reki, Langa is possessive and/or jealous over it. Now with added love letters, confessions, bisexual crises, and dubious skateboarding knowledge.
