Dazai hates the rain, and even though Kunikida doesn’t know why, he tries to help whenever the weather gets like this. It’s always the same problem, but the solution is ever-changing and as erratic as Dazai is on his worst days.
Or: Kunikida visits Dazai's dorm whenever it rains, winds up catching feelings, and confesses via unconventional use of his ability. Loosely related to another fic I wrote but can be read as a standalone.

Summary
“How do you turn that thing off?” Dazai asks, interrupting Kunikida’s thoughts once again.
They are sitting on the floor, their backs against the side of the bed and the remains of their unhealthy meal laid out between them. They already downed an entire bottle of sake each, and there’s a slight rosy hue to Dazai’s cheeks that goes well with the distasteful pink bedding.
“What thing?”
“Your brain,” Dazai replies, gesturing vaguely at Kunikida’s head with his cup. “It’s whirring, like the old computers at the office. Turn it off already.”
Kunikida’s eyes narrow.
“Like you’re one to talk. You’re always scheming.”
or; Dazai is hardly ever honest whereas Kunikida can’t be anything but.

Summary
Dazai has been absent for three days now. Skipping work isn’t too rare for him, actually. Just not for that long. Intrigued, Kunikida suspects that Dazai’s current disappearing act isn’t due to the usual reason.
Once more, it’s up to him to be the person to rely on.

Summary
At first glance, there’s nothing obviously wrong with the room. It looks very standard for a hotel room, decorated with warm colors and basic furniture. It has the same lemon scent of the lobby, but runs at a cooler temperature. There is a kitchenette to their right, a bathroom to their left, a television in the main area, a desk in the corner, and a bed with clean white sheets.
Dazai is the first to point it out, looking genuinely surprised for the first time in their life.
“There’s only one bed.”

Summary
Dazai comes from a land that no one has information on, the Port Kingdom. It's when he's sent to the Agency's Kingdom to contribute to the Prince's ceremony for his twentieth birthday that he meets Kunikida. Dazai's only rule is to not mess up for the sake of both Kingdoms and for him and Kunikida's relationship.

Word has spread from merchant commoners to the Royal Castle. ‘Sir. Fukuzawa is searching for a new painter to aid him in the official ceremony of Prince Kunikida Doppo and to paint his portrait to hang along his fellow generations of royalty painted in their youth,’ is what we hear. My nation has not been hospitable to your nation, and the same may be said about the reversal.
As a peace offering, we offer our very own painter of royalty. He will be accompanied by two residents of his choosing to travel across the regional divide to carry out his task. Afterwards, He will return. During him and his company’s residence, they will be under agreement to not cause trouble. This agreement has been discussed, however not executed as we wait for your response currently.

“Are all pirates so grumpy?” Ironically, the words are spoken with a childish mumble. Despite himself, Dazai finally takes a seat and leans over his plate. He scrunches his nose at the slop but says nothing, and Chuuya rolls his eyes at his own fork. “I was going to say that I would like to become a part of your crew. Indefinitely.”
His fork slips. Screeches across the ceramic unpleasantly. A quick glance up to Dazai’s face brings a smile into view. It isn’t one that he trusts; It’s curled around the edges. “And why,” he starts slowly, eyes narrowing into thin slits, “should I ever let you?”

Pirate captain Chuuya is unlucky enough to discover a lunatic in his sails, rigged to hang himself at the drop of it. Dazai, the librarian exile and, apparently, the most irritating man to ever set foot upon his deck, implores him to take him in. Too short on hands and needing the key to a particular secret, Chuuya agrees. He's not thrilled about it.

Nakahara Chuuya is beautiful.
He owns a flower shop. He has a deep, sweet voice, a worn-out leather jacket and azure eyes that glisten under the spring sun.
“Oi, hang on. Are are you hitting on me?”
“I could be,” Dazai says, putting the pen down. “Am I allowed to hit on you?”

“Dazai-san, you’re staring.” Atsushi noticed, finding a spot over the railing next to Dazai. “Hm. I guess so.” He replied, not looking away from the rink. Just for a moment, the brunet’s eyes reflected the bright light from the overhead lights, a bright glow engulfing them. “It’s not that often I have the time to see you guys act so barbaric, it’s very entertaining.”
Atsushi gave the other a light shove. “Is that really what you’re here to see?”
Annoyed, Dazai moved his gaze with narrow eyes towards Atsushi. Before he could shoot back at him, a loud yell from the rink interrupted them. “THE FUCK ARE YOU LOOKING AT, YOU LOUSY PILE OF BANDAGES?!”
