Grian rested his palm lightly on the raised edge of the old wound, just below Scar's heart. He felt the stuttering rise and fall of Scar's chest, uneven with his breaths. Proof, though his skin was a little cold, that he was very much alive.
"You're right that I'm bad at asking for help," Scar said quietly. "But I do know my limits."
Grian's heartbeat roared in his ears, like a tide breaking on the reef. "We all like to push the boundaries a bit."
Scar's red eyes glinted in the dim light. "I guess some lines were made to be crossed."
