How does Kopi's cafe sound, pretty simple right?” She rambles on and on, about how nice the cafe is, knowing her words are drilling harshly into Reggie. Because they are, because his lips are slowly parting and his eyebrows are furrowing.
And for a second, Skylar feels guilty. Because Reggie doesn't look shocked at the prospect of her agreeing, but rather the fact someone would be willing to say yes at all.
And then the guilt fades away quickly, because this date is gonna be hell.
