“Finally the camera reached his face. He was young, definitely early 20’s. Soft looking blond hair styled back with product. A cute nose he wanted to pepper with kisses. Pouty pink lips stretched into an open mouth smile. Adorably framed by laugh lines. Glacial blue eyes framed by thick lashes. Distinctive birthmark-
Eddie slammed the laptop closed, all but throwing it across the room in his panic. That was Buck. His Buck. He had just been jerking off to his Buck. A wave of panic unlike he's ever experienced washed over him. He barely had enough time to pull his pants back up and rush to the bathroom before he was expelling the meager dinner he had had earlier. What the fuck.”

Summary
When they got off the plane, dozens of emergency vehicles greeted them. It was strange, considering the plane hadn't burst into flames midair, at least not to Buck's knowledge.
There was a fluttering of activity yet no word on why they were stuck there.
The passengers were bystanders to the chaos until someone shouted, "Excuse me, there are sick people here. Can you tell us what's going on?"
"The problem is, ladies and gentlemen, that your plane departed April 9th, 2021. Today is June 12th, 2026."
"You have all been missing and presumed dead for more than five years."

Summary
He was in love with Eddie.
He loved Eddie.
It wasn’t just some cliché crush-on-your-best-friend kind of thing.
It was all consuming love that was once in history described as force strong enough to build entire civilizations or to crush them into fine dust.
A love so huge that giving up your own life to spare theirs hurts less then living in the world without your soulmate.

So when someone asks about the worst day of his life, he smiles, shrugs, and tells the lightning strike story instead.OR

Summary
“This isn’t my life!” Buck exclaims. “This is not how it’s supposed to be. Abby is supposed to be gone. She’s supposed to have left. As in, left Los Angeles, not left me to marry Bobby. Bobby’s supposed to marry Athena.”
“Cap and Athena? But she’s—”
“Married. Yeah,” Buck huffs. “Like I said, that doesn’t work out.”
“Because Real Michael is gay?” Eddie asks skeptically.
“Real Michael is gay,” Buck confirms.
OR: After his break up with Tommy, Buck falls asleep on Eddie’s couch and wakes up in a world where Bobby is married to Abby, Hen and Karen are divorced, Athena and Michael are faking a happy marriage, Chim has a daughter that is not Buck's niece, and—just to really, personally fuck with him—Eddie and Maddie are engaged to be married.

Summary
Buck didn't think he'd end up back at Eddie's after everything. All the things that drove him here haven't changed and neither have the things that made him leave again. Thirty four years old and able to drop everything in his life because he had no dependents, no responsibilities, no ties. Chris was gone and Eddie was following him and Buck was only at South Bedford because he was being left behind.
Buck has reckoned with his feelings by now, this past year after Bobby, after everything that went on in the desert, the lengths Eddie went to, bringing things into sharper focus. He's in love with Eddie, has been in love with Eddie for so long it just became part of the fabric of the universe, the baseline from which Buck operates. He's made his peace with it too, aware that Eddie doesn't feel the same.
He'd do anything for Eddie and Chris but he felt more like a guest than he ever had when they came back to LA, sleeping on their couch, waiting to be asked to leave. Better to go than be pushed, he figured, and yet the path always seems to lead back to here.
So, South Bedford it is, only there are four of them now, not three because Buck is responsible for more than himself these days.

Summary
Eddie Diaz lived a dual life, walking a razor-thin edge. By day, he was El Heredero, the ruthless heir to a powerful cartel, groomed by a father who demanded absolute obedience and blood for loyalty. By night, he led a hidden crusade, risking his neck to raid the city's stomach-churning, illegal omega auctions. He knew exactly what was at stake—defying Ramon Diaz was a death sentence.
But nothing could have prepared him for the chaos waiting in the shadows of his latest raid.
Bound, bruised, and burning with a fierce, unbroken pride amidst the cages, he finds him: Evan "Buck" Nash. The son of Robert Nash, the ruthless leader of The Black Ashes—their bitterest rivals.
With a monumental gang peace summit looming tomorrow, Eddie is suddenly faced with a deadly choice. Keeping Nash’s son captive could start an all-out turf war, but letting him go might expose Eddie's deepest secrets. And as their eyes lock in the dim light, Eddie realizes that Buck is far more than just a dangerous political bargaining chip. He is the one variable that could shatter his carefully built walls forever.Bookmarked by tjournal

Summary
“Hey,” Buck says, in the hospital room after it’s all over. “Just so you know, I’m in love with you.”
His voice is raspy, his smile a little self-deprecating. His eyes, when Eddie stares at him in surprise, are steady and blue. He doesn't sound like he’s blurting something out, or getting something off his chest, or confessing something he’s embarrassed of. He just sounds like he’s telling Eddie about the weather, something mundane. The sun is hot in the sky, they’re in New Mexico, and Buck is, apparently, in love with him.
Buck confesses to Eddie after the kidnapping. Eddie, in a fit of madness, accepts his confession. It'll be fine - just because Eddie isn't in love with Buck, doesn't mean he can't be his boyfriend.

Summary
"Maybe not," Eddie caves. But he hates feeling the fight leave Buck's body as he says it, as if Buck had secretly wanted him to push and do it anyway. Clearly, whatever Tommy had said in that interaction had made Buck feel small, and Eddie loathed people who made Buck feel small.
"I just... I talked to Maddie about it already, so I'm not like, shutting people out. Its..." Buck shakes his head. "It's hard to explain."
Eddie gnaws at the inner corner of his lip. “Even to me?” he thinks selfishly.

Summary
“She said she wasn’t worried about us breaking up.”
Oh. Well. That was pretty definitively a thing that people said about partners who were together romantically.
“Say something,” Buck instructed.
“What?”
“Anything,” Buck said, his voice wavering on the word. Which was—it was weird, right? Why was Buck so shaken by a throwaway comment?
Or maybe the better question was why wasn’t Eddie? If either of them was going to get freaked out by the assumption that he was dating a man, it would make more sense for it to be Eddie, who was straight, and not Buck, who had, in fact, already dated men.
“Aren’t you going to be late for your shift?”
