Summary
The way she said things was weirdly familiar too. Sayings Lambert hadn’t heard since he was damn young, but also that wasn’t that weird because Triss was older than him, so her knowing various older sayings wasn’t unexpected. But it- it stuck with Lambert, for some reason. How she said them stuck too. A cadence that… that hurt to hear, for some fucking reason.

Lambert had no family.
As far as he knew, they'd all died off to plague, or monster, or man sometime before he'd even gotten his medallion. The blood that carried the Potter name would die with him, and all other Potters of the continent could feel a little more special after. Lambert didn't care; he hadn't claimed or even thought about his sire's second name in decades.
So yeah, Lambert had no blood family. He had the Witchers, his brothers, and he had Milena. He even had the mages, because although they were typically terrible, at least Triss was nice and tried damn hard to be a good person.
It'd be nicer if she wasn't so damn familiar though.

“But remind him he’s not in charge,” Cody added. Obi-Wan knew that getting Cody to like Hondo was probably a lost cause, but he still hoped. Cody might put up with the Pirate Captain, but that was the extent of it.
Obi-Wan reached for his comm, dialing in the familiar code.
It took only a moment and then Hondo was answering, an exaggerated scowl on his face. “My betrayer!”
Obi-Wan rolled his eyes, not bothering to respond to the all too familiar accusation. “How do you feel about stealing something big?”
Hondo looked like he was debating with himself as to whether he wanted to continue being churlish and accusing or whether he wanted to steal things. Thankfully, in this, Hondo was very predictable. “You have drunken too much, my friend, if you have to ask.”
