"Can't he read?" Karen asks, sounding genuinely concerned.
"Of course he can read," Eddie shoots back defensively. "Buck can do anything. He's so smart. He knows about every single thing that's ever happened." He doesn't care if that's an exaggeration, he has to do Buck's extensive knowledge of obscure subjects justice. "Sometimes I stay up at night just to listen to him talk," Eddie admits dreamily.
"Oh, Eddie." Karen's face scrunches up and her eyes well as she presses a hand over her heart. "That's so sweet. You two are going to be the cutest couple."
"I know," Eddie sniffs and wipes at his eyes. "Buck is going to be the best boyfriend in the whole world."

Buck shakes his head, a small, childish feeling in his chest. "I don't want to sleep."
Eddie's eyebrow goes up. There is a difference between not wanting to and not being able to, and Buck didn't notice he was using the first one. "You don't have to stay up or he will disappear, you know? Bobby will still be here tomorrow."
"But you won't," Buck admits, the response out of his mouth before his brain has time to fully notice what he is about to say and reminds him why it's a bad idea to tell Eddie something like that.
Buck and Eddie only have a few hours together before Eddie's flight back to El Paso. It's time to move forward.

Only at one another. Then that thing in Buck’s chest, that warm feeling that has only ever been associated with Eddie, finally told Buck its name. And it hurts too much to be in love with Eddie and not even be the reason he stays.
Buck and Eddie finally fight about it, but this time they say what they mean. (8x18 coda - dw tim, i'll finish ur storylines for u)

The spray paint hasn't even dried yet and Eddie's already scrubbing it off the house.
He insisted it was a bad idea, but Frankie insisted it was karma. Karma for what, Eddie doesn't really know.
As far as he knows, Harrington's never done anything directly to any of their group. He didn't really stop his sheep from doing stuff, but that in itself isn't a crime deserving of this punishment.
It's not even his house. If his parents came home and saw this, Eddie's pretty sure Steve would be punished in ways that aren't fair at all for some light bullying in high school.
He doesn't even know if Steve's home. The lights haven't been on since he got here and it's not that late. He can't possibly be sleeping.
The paint isn't coming off.
Headlights reflect off the window to his left and he freezes. The lights get brighter and closer.
He turns.
The headlights are on him. He waves.
They shut off.
Steve steps out of his car, but doesn't come closer. Eddie can't really see more than the shadow of him; The porch light is dim and nearly a full 25 feet away.
