No, Crowley had been convinced. If it were ever to happen, he was confident that drama would be key. A backdrop of Hellfire, or a frenzied lurch for freedom, or some other forced decision of similar magnitude—something external prompting him to seize Aziraphale and drag him in close, deliver a kiss like a message, a challenge.
It needed to be fantastically exciting, or there would be too much risk of Aziraphale coming to his senses and walking away.
Crowley couldn’t picture it any other way. Certainly he hadn’t pictured it like... this.

“We’ve played every game humanity’s ever invented, haven’t we?” They had indeed played quite a variety of board games, card games, word games, et cetera. Crowley had drawn the line somewhere around charades.
“We haven’t played Truth or Dare,” Aziraphale said with unnecessary dramatic emphasis.
Crowley took a moment to gauge whether or not Aziraphale was serious. It appeared that he was. “Come off it.”
“What’s wrong with Truth or Dare?” Aziraphale asked innocently.
“That’s barely a game.”
“The magazine said it was a good way to ‘introduce novelty and fun, and to initiate conversations that you might not have had otherwise,’” Aziraphale recited.
That’s exactly why it’s a bad idea. Especially this many drinks in.
....
During lockdown, Crowley and Aziraphale resort to Truth or Dare to alleviate the monotony. The truth may be dangerous but, as it turns out, may very well set them free.

Summary
He couldn’t quite remember what Aziraphale smelled like anymore, the particular combination of fresh bread and sea salt and cedarwood, the caramelized sugar of crème brûlée. But even though he couldn’t remember the scent precisely, he knew the bookshop didn’t smell right. It didn’t smell like Aziraphale. It was as if he’d never been there at all.
Aziraphale disappears the night of the bookshop fire, and Crowley is left alone and grieving. But death is not always the end.

Summary
There was one major drawback to life in the Bentley, however, and that was privacy. Living in a space with windows on every side would have been bad enough but the Bentley was, for lack of a more polite term, a bit of an attention whore. Crowley could feel her preening whenever tourists flocked to admire her and, no matter how many times he miracled the windows tinted, they somehow always found their way back to being normal and perfectly transparent a matter of minutes later.
As a direct consequence, Crowley had been living in his car for four months and hadn’t got off once. He was, to put it delicately, a pinch frustrated.
To put it indelicately, he was horny as fuck.
As it turns out, Aziraphale - and the tourists of London - are just really good at getting in the way of Crowley having a wank.

“Hunting for something, there, angel?” Crowley asked, inching closer to guide Aziraphale’s hand farther up his shirt. “’Cause I’d be more than happy to point the way.”
Aziraphale’s lips quirked a touch, but his eyes remained on his work. “Afraid I’m still hours from closing, dear.”
Crowley shrugged. “So?” he murmured into the scant few inches between his lips and Aziraphale’s temple, making a small upward gesture with his offhand.
The air around them shifted. Aziraphale knew the feeling, how could he not - the space around their bodies was now teeming with miraculous energy, creating a focus blur for the lesser beings in the shop. At last, he looked up from his work, cheeks blooming pink at the implication.
“You can’t be serious.” Aziraphale spoke lowly now.
“Deadly.” Crowley said.
