Summary
As a Hunter, Sanji has always been too aware of his many flaws. But when the werewolf he's hunting refuses to run from him, he's about to find out what his greatest weakness is. Though he doesn't know it, it has called for him, in the inevitable language of his blood.
Reiju is restless. At the heart of the Order of Hunters, something unspeakable and dark stirs. And her own personal Shadow, Tashigi, seems to be hiding something too.
Ichiji has attracted the attention of a being that might just be too powerful to handle, and he's done nothing to deserve it. Well, hardly anything. Not that much, anyway.
Change is coming, and when Sanji finds himself at the very lip of this tide, he has to choose who he wants to save... and who to leave behind.

Summary
The custom is common knowledge in Germa - not so much in Wano. Handing over an omega when you're suing for peace after a humiliating defeat is standard practice, but once the discrepancy is discovered, it's already too late. Despite his misgivings, Zoro will have to take responsibility for a man he's never met, and navigate a situation in which neither of them can be happy.
He wasn't planning to get married. Meanwhile, Sanji hasn't been allowed to see any other future for himself, but the circumstances are less than ideal. They speak of the warrior as if he's a wild beast; he certainly looks the part. And while he's determined not to fold right away, he knows it's only a matter of time before he'll be begging him.

this is a glossary of omegaverse terms that i wrote specifically for the fanfic "swallow and pheasant". thus this is MY personal take on omegaverse / world building for that fanfic, rather than a more general list of terms and their meaning, although obviously it overlaps in broad strokes with the general consensus.
it's exactly what it says on the tin, so proceed with that in mind.

After two years apart, something has changed about Sanji. He no longer smells like an alpha, and Zoro definitely isn't prepared for how that changes things between them.

Summary
Upon retaking their kidnapped daughter from the Vinsmokes, the Straw Hats realize that what they thought was the end of a short and unpleasant adventure, is in fact the start of a new and even worse one. On top of Judge's sinister plans against his child, Sanji also finds himself with an unexpected and thoroughly unwanted extra passenger.
Forced once again to face up to the scars left by his childhood, Sanji is starting to fear that his happy ever after might still be threatened by his past. And that's before Yonji starts showing signs of emotions. Sanji didn't sign up for being part of someone's else's redemption arc, and definitely not for having to explain his relationships and his gender as part of the exercise - but here she is, and the least she can do is try to make sure that Yonji is just as miserable as she is.

Summary
Your name is Dave Strider, you're the victor of the 72nd Hunger Games, and the only thing you care about is keeping yourself and your brother safe.
Your name is Dirk Strider, and the Capitol made the mistake of turning you into what you are, before giving you every reason to want to see it burn.
Your name is Jake English, and surviving to become the single most popular victor in the Capitol might in fact have been a fate worse than death.
Your name is Rose Lalonde, and you're going to be the next Head Gamemaker no matter whose corpse you have to step over to get there.
Your name is Karkat Vantas, and you know you're going to die.
Your name is Terezi Pyrope, and you refuse to let them kill you.

Summary
They came to this isolated colony at the edge of human territories in search of reprieve, a way of putting their broken family back together again. Instead the Strider-Lalondes find themselves in an insular society operating on antiquated rules, and in the middle of an awkward political standoff with their violent alien neighbors.
In an attempt to stop unchecked bloodshed between the two settlements, an arranged marriage is proposed. As the children of the most influential woman in the colony, Dave and Rose have very little choice but to shoulder the responsibilities of their position.
But in politics, as well as life in general, few things are as they first appear. It quickly becomes apparent that both sides might’ve gotten more than they bargained for in the exchange, leaving a variously traumatized bunch of young soldiers and a mismatched group of would-be troll rebels with the task of settling their interpersonal issues and learning to work together. There is far more at stake than just their lives.[Space opera fic with arranged marriage elements. 3 guesses on which is the slow burn couple, no price.]

Summary
Dirk, raised to the resistance against the oppressive societal structure known as the Watchers, has been taken into captivity. At the medical facility known as Three Yards, he is fed drugs to suppress his powers and to keep him manageable, and time slips through his sightless soul as he waits for something, anything to change.
After a year, change arrives in the shape of Jake, an awkward boy with a strange golden sheen rippling across his eyes and a painful tremble at the edge of his cheerful grin. Dirk cannot understand how someone so powerful can apparently be so useless - until night comes, and Jake's dreams swallow his whole.
Jake is a puzzle, and for the both of them to be free of their prison, Dirk is going to have to unravel him... and maybe also himself in the process.

Summary
On an average evening, Jaquin “Jake” Hardy would be spending time pottering around in his garden - with a pint and a morsel or two to make sure that “working” couldn’t in the strictest sense be used to describe the endeavor. So on this particular evening, the fact that he was indeed in his garden and kneeling by his usually very fine weigela bushes was not too far away from the norm. At present, however, the bushes were not so fine, mainly due to the sprawled figure of one of the Big Folk, as well as a rather unsightly amount of blood.
The strange elf who, among the Rangers of the North, preferred simply to be known by the uncouth name of “Dirk”, had certainly not planned to bleed so vigorously this evening. Nor had he expected, in his wounded state, to stumble from what he thought was blind wilderness right into the well-tended dwelling of a stunned little mortal.
Yet here they were. And, well, someone was going to have to tend to those wounds.

The Princess of Derse perishes in a shipwreck... or would have, if she ever existed in the first place. But Dirk knows he's never been any kind of princess, and regardless of what the future holds, he is determined to either live or die as himself.
Then, enter Captain English, the flamboyant and eccentric pirate captain in charge of the crew known as the Sirens, offering a life hitherto undreamt of. There's freedom, and joy, and the undeniable attraction to the man who made it all possible. There may even be love.

Summary
A wish is not a simple thing, and Dirk doesn't believe in simplicity anyway. So he asks for the power to rewrite reality, not knowing the Pandora's box of meta-narrative horror he's about to plunge himself and everyone he knows into. Turns out that what he gets isn't actually the ability to fix all wrongs, but rather to experience every possible way for things to go wrong - over, and over, and over again.
Jake English, on the other hand, made a very simple wish: He wanted to be a hero.
A simple wish, but with not-so-simple consequences, as the power to turn reality into a story is bound to interact unpredictably with the power to become the center of every narrative. It makes Jake unpredictable, impossible to truly control... and if there's anything Dirk doesn't know how to cope with, it's that.

Summary
On a world which is sort of like our own, sort of not, trolls and humans live side by side and everything is is a little bit more anachronistic, a little bit strange; full of steam engines, gentry, and mysticism. And if you happen to belong to the lucky 30-35% of the population who have a soulmate, their words will appear on your skin if they fulfil two conditions: They must convey a fundamental truth about said soulmate, and they must be clearly communicated to another person in their presence.
Maybe Dirk wouldn't be so angry if he'd always been as uninterested as he claims. But the truth is he'd been desperate to have a soulmate, and coming to terms with his persistently unmarked skin had been hard. So when it finally turns up, way later than it ought to, and it can more or less be summed up as "I'm a lying liar who lies"? Oh, he's mad.
Jake has always been in a complicated relationship with the truth, even before he made an increasingly convoluted mess of his personal life - and more than anything, he's determined not to let his soulmate find him.

“Where’d you come from?” the guy says, looking a bit confused, and even before you smell his breath you can tell he’s basically an entire linen closet to the wind, nevermind three sheets. Those three sheets are gone. They’ve embraced a twister large enough to wipe the entire midwest off the map.
