"Guy punched me." Kai's voice was thick, slightly muffled by the tissues and blood still pouring from his nose.
"I gathered that Kai," Nya wasn't even surprised. Kai had come home plenty of times when they were younger with various fight injuries, sometimes for justified reasons, sometimes not.

"Hey—Stop!" Lloyd burst out from cover, running after them. Whoever it was, they were fast. He was just barely keeping sight of the figure, flitting in and out of the trees, almost like they were one of them. He pushed harder, losing them for a second and continuing to barrel in the direction he had last seen them.
He burst out into a clearing, slowing to a halt as he tried to figure out which way they had gone. Wait, where the hell am I, Lloyd wondered. He had been running for some time, only now realising he no longer knew where he was.
"Lost, are we?"

Summary
Why hadn't they been checked over. Jay he could excuse on altered mental state from the cold, maybe Nya too, but the other's must have noticed something was wrong. Cole's arms were visible to everyone, Lloyd tended to hide injuries so normally he was bundled to the med bay after any mission despite any protests, let alone one this extensive. Right, that was Zane's job. And he had been too preoccupied by his own thoughts to notice his team was suffering – suffering he had caused.
Stepping further into the room, he decided this was something he could make right.

Nya stood outside the door to the bathroom, debating how much longer to wait. Lloyd was in there; he had been for a while. She leaned back against the wall, looking up at the ceiling. This is not how she'd wanted to spend her afternoon, babysitting Lloyd. She knew he didn't want her there anymore than she wanted to be.

Summary
After being forced down and unknown number of corridors, the bag was ripped off his head as he was shoved through a door and into a different room. He stumbled, losing his balance but righting himself before he hit the floor.
"Jay? Nya?" A voice exclaimed, "Zane? Oh no, they got you guys too."
Jay looked up to see Kai, Cole and Lloyd. Kai had run over to Nya the second they entered the room, Jay twisted to look at his yang, seeing she was okay, they must have just startled her earlier. Cole walked up in front of him and Zane, checking them over.

Summary
The next time she surfaced, there were shadows again. She still couldn't open her eyes, but she could hear them. Her heartrate climbed wildly and so did a strange beeping she could hear. Nya shifted slightly, trying to move, to get away, but her body was so heavy.
The voices sped up, she caught a few words.
"Nya—"
"Is—conscious?"
"I don't—maybe—"
At least three of them. Her panic climbed higher, but something was familiar. Before she could work out what, her grasp on reality slipped away.

Summary
A lack of direction left him simply to think, and after discovering that his mind decided that was the best time to remind him of things he didn't want to remember, Lloyd was trying to keep busy. So, he was on his fifth random chore activity of the morning, desperate for anything to do, he just had to keep moving. Keep proving his body was his own, that he was in control again. He had to, or he would start to think about – well, him.

Jay shifted at his feet, wincing as he tried to pull himself up to stand.
"Whoa—whoa Jay, what the hell are you doing?" Cole grabbed him by the arms, setting him back down as his face paled, and he almost collapsed.
"We—we have," Jay shook violently, "We have to keep moving."
"No—you have to rest. There's no point in walking more, we don't even know where we're going!" Cole threw his hands up in exasperation, before kneeling down at Jay's side, "Here, let me see—"

Summary
He grabbed Lloyd's shoulder, shaking him slightly. He was awake, eyes wide with terror as he shook in Cole's arms; hands limply wrapped around his middle. The boy let out a sharp wheeze, before breaking out into a violent coughing fit. Red droplets splattered onto the floor. Cole froze, searching up and down Lloyd's body for the source of the injury, but finding nothing.
He suddenly went limp, eyes rolling back in his head and breathing becoming more jagged.
"Lloyd! Lloyd! Wake up." Cole cried, hands shaking as he hovered over him, unsure of what to do.

Jay groaned as the world tilted and span, greying at the edges as he desperately tried to hold on to the contents of a stomach he was sure must be empty. They began to move, Jay trying to get his feet under him, but abandoning the attempt quickly, instead focusing in on what Zane was still saying.
"—safe now. Taken care—others."
Jay suddenly remembered what they had been asking him. They'd wanted to know about the team, about the others, everyone was in danger by coming to get him. His breathing picked up, heart racing from the combined sensations.
"Zane—Zane," he slurred, and the comforting hum of voice next to his ears stopped, "The others—they wanted—not safe—I—"

Summary
He'd been powerless to stop it, already breaking the promise that he was to protect Ninjago. At the time, he didn't realise people got hurt. But now it seemed obvious. Of course they did, children like Harumi, barley older than he had been, left alone, without anyone to keep them safe.
Falling to his knees, he remembered what she had told him, the day he learned she was the quiet one.

Okay, maybe not so fine. Fine people didn't tend to find themselves white knuckling the bathroom sink as they hyperventilated because they forgot to not look in the mirror. At three in the morning of all times. But it was fine. It was fine. This was just another Wednesday, wait, Thursday now.

Zane stepped forward as well, conversing with Pixal too quick for Jay to follow, using words he did not understand. He felt dizzy, the world spinning slightly as yet more fire zipped up his arms. A silver hand waved in front of his face, and he looked up at Zane.
"Jay, I need you to stand up," The nindroid explained, "We are going to move somewhere else so you can lie down."
"I-I can't." He whispered. Zane frowned. "I can't move."

Summary
Cole closed his eyes, stretching a single moment into a thousand as he hurtled towards the closing rift. He wasn't going to make it, that he knew. But he had stopped Yang, saved his students, and his friends were here. He couldn't tell if they knew he was, but at least he wasn't going to die alone.
The rift enveloped his body, edges folding around him, and imploded. Cole felt energy rip through him, before everything went black.

Wait, where was she? His heart pounded in his ears as he spun around, jumping to his feet. Where was she, she had been right here! Hadn't she? Ripping the last of the tangled blankets off him, he tilted sideways as he almost fell over.
They had been right here, both of them, going to sleep like they had every night since his return to the monastery with his memories. Neither of them was keen to let the other out of their sight.
But she was gone, maybe, maybe it had been real. Maybe she was really gone. He couldn't tell – memories jumbled and fuzzy, sleep clutching at the edges of his mind.

Lloyd didn't know. He crumpled inwards slightly, drawing in a few harsh breaths. They didn't trust him. And they were right. All he caused was damage.

"You okay?" The older boy asked, stopping in the doorway.
"I-I don't know." It sounded wrong, to say it out loud. But something was wrong.

He caught only snippets of conversation, words spinning around the room too fast for him to keep track of. He remained where he stood, staring down at the floorboards, ringing overtaking his ears. Eyes burning slightly, he remained motionless, unable to make his body move. Everything was too much, his shirt bunched up under his hoodie, shoes pressing on his toes, light burning his eyes, sound battering his ears.
Swallowing dryly, Lloyd blinked faster, trying to control his breathing. What was wrong with him. He was fine. It was nothing. Push it away, move on. Just go and sit somewhere quietly until dinner, he was fine. Why wouldn't his feet move.
