"Akk," whispered Ayan from across the room. It was immediately lost in the gloom. Akk could have easily imagined it, had it not been for: "Ai'Akk." The soft sound of rearranging sheets.
Akk gathered himself to make a strangled noise of acknowledgement; anything else and he would lose his grip on the careful edge of self containment.
"Akk," Ayan said, "it will be okay."
Or, Akk's life is going fine. He's fine with his strained friendships, he's fine with what happened at Suppalo, and he's certainly fine ignoring his new roommate, Ayan, during his third year at university. Nothing needs to change.
Nothing will change, if Akk has anything to say about it.

Summary
His first year of university was going to be a reset for Akk. Free of the protests, Chadok's merciless scoldings, the suffocating pressure, the weight of expectations, the constant thorn in his side named Ayan. He was finally free to start over, and everything would be absolutely perfect.
Until he ran headfirst into a familiar pair of smug, beady eyes and that stupid worn-out black hoodie in his very first week.
Or: College AU where Akk never let himself get close to Ayan back in Suppalo, got away with his crimes, and is now forced to look head-on at all the trauma and repressed emotions he has spent years trying to ignore.

He doesn't want to admit it, but sometimes when it gets dark and the light disappears completely he is engulfed into an array of labyrinthian thinking. Always regretting it, wishing to turn back on time.
Wishing that the water following him around was real, that the stone wrapped on his left foot would weigh him down enough to sink. He needs to appease it, for everything to get worse till there's no other way than to calm the storm down. To shut it all out by jumping.
But it doesn't matter, not really, because at the end of the day he will still wake up. Will take a shower and then go to school.
So he can pretend, he can make his rounds around prohibiting people from going into their phones, arguing about uniforms and stopping fighting in the bathrooms. Following his school's rules while the ghost of a sickening powerful hand buries itself under his shoulder, pulling him apart from the inside.
OR,
A dive into the amount of pressure Akk is under with lots of Introspection. There are criticisms of society and the role people play in it, and also just him being in love with his boyfriend at the end.

One is trying to keep the system as it was and the other is trying to break it and create something entirely new.

This is just a written version of The Eclipse. This means that a lot of the scenes and dialogue is taken directly from the show, but I have taken some creative liberty to make the dialogue flow better. I have also added in more scenes, so it's definitely not all copied from the show ;)
