Summary
(For those who read the trailers, this is the full series. Note that those clips had been edited with some key information left out that now appears within them.)
Jessica’s determination to find a missing young woman connected to the gifted community leads her into a swamp of political ambitions, dark money, power-enhancing street drugs, and accelerating violence driven by religious fanatics riding a tide of hatred. The one thing the bewildering mix of players agrees on is that the famously volatile, antisocial PI is perfect to take the fall for it all.
But while Jessica Jones is easy to blame, she’s hard to destroy. Especially if she lets herself trust again.
JJ 2.5 occurs shortly after Season Two, and begins just before the start of the second season of *Luke Cage*.

Grey wipes Jones’s tears and lifts her chin.
“You know who you were—and are—however, Jessica, isn’t that right?”
The investigator in question hesitatingly nodded.
Grey brushes some of Jones’s bangs out of her eyes. “That, Jessica Jones, is what is truly important. Even with all the powers in our world, it is often common for others to not appreciate and instead neglect our role in life. That does not change that we are all important to the cycle known as life, and your existence is neither a mistake nor to be erased.”

If life were a movie Jessica Jones would be the star of an After School Special, the prime example of what not to do with your life. Then she has to turn to SHIELD for a case and as she is sucked back into the life she has left behind and the past she doesn't want to remember things spiral out of her control.

Peter got his hopes up as he heard someone stir in the audience, only to realize it was just a cough. After another few seconds, Mary Jane came to his rescue.
“Me,” she said, raising her hand.
“Cool,” smiled Peter, “So what’s the deal with that clock in the middle of campus, right? Don’t they know we all have smartphones now?”
No response, except for Mary Jane offering him a pity laugh. Frankly, that might have been worse than her staying silent. He knew her well enough to know she didn’t actually find that joke funny. Why couldn’t he remember his routine? Why couldn’t he think of any jokes?
“Get off the stage!” shouted someone.
“No wait,” said Peter, beginning to panic, “I’ve got a good one, just give me a minute…”
“Boo!” shouted someone else.
“I’m sorry,” blurted out Peter, “I really thought I had planned better than this. Just give me a chance to-”
“You suck!”
“Loser!”
Peter winced as a single french fry bounced off his face.
“Hey!” he shouted indignantly, “Who threw that!?”
NOW the audience was starting to laugh.
