Summary
Anya is broken in The Facility, shuffled around a handful of foster families, and learns to see the world how it truly is before she turns 5 years old. She grows up with a Master Spy and Assassin who could end her life within a second if she misbehaves, and has enough trust issues with authority figures to see it as a very real possibility. She lives in constant fear of being discovered as an Esper. Her thought process moulded by Twilight, and her body is trained by the Thorn Princess herself. With all that, and her best friends being in the upper echelons of Ostanian society, Anya leads an interesting life.
Complete rewrite of canon, mainly Anya's POV. Anya is very OOC in this, and so it ends up diverging from canon significantly.

No, the strangest part of Anya Forger wasn’t her falsified records, her fake age, her burned adoption papers, her assassin mother, her spy father, her secret police uncle, nor her incredibly strange family history.
Yor sat bolt upright, a knife in her hand. “A ghost is trying to kill Anya?!”
Where did she get that–
“Pillow.”
Oh, ok.Of course, none of this was real. There was no ghost. Anya was a big liar who knew that any thoughts she said would be taken seriously. Anya wanted to laugh, but she couldn’t. It would ruin her master plan for Mama to let her hold one of her stabbies! Now, onto phase 2: keep it.
You’re really going all out, pulling your father’s leg like this. Oh, I’m so in. How can I help you ruin his day?
“Ghosts? What the hell is going on, stubby legs? This is ridiculous! You can’t read ghost minds!”
“Yes, I can! Ask your Papa if you want! I’m sure he’ll back me up!”
Melinda gasped.
“She’s right! I should’ve brought Donny!”Damian Desmond cowered in Anya’s bathroom. He was not alone in his fear, as Loid Forger, the ever phlegmatic and fearless father was none of those things at the moment.
Both were in fear of what lay on the other side of the bathroom door.
What lay there?
Anya Forger, standing on the kitchen counter. Holding a rope, the other end tied around the pommel of her mother’s stiletto knife. Swinging it in rapid, controlled, yet unpredictable circles. The blade barely avoided scraping the ceiling.
