This later part of this fic handles masking and stimming in an autistic character, and is written by an autistic man. Takes place during the Citadel DLC. Paragon, biotic Shepard, spacer background, Akuze. This fic doesn't really feature Shep's transness, but he's a GNC trans man written by a GNC trans man.

Defeating Saren, the Collectors, and most importantly the Reapers together. There was no Shepard without Vakarian.
The infamous Commander would give Garrus the world if he could, or any world for that matter.But when it came down to meeting two turians he knew nothing about that just so happened to be Garrus' parents. Shepard panicked.
How would he get through the anxiety of meeting the parents who may or may not hate his guts?

Summary
Anathema "Thema" Shepard has seen that look in his own eyes before. To be fair, the eyes in front of him are technically 'his' as well, but the point stands: he can't just stand by. When has he ever stood by and let someone die when he could help it? Shepard grabs his clone before he can let go, and is insistent on helping him find himself. Garrus is pretty sure two Commander Shepard's is more than the Galaxy can handle. Chaos and feels ensue.
Anathema "Athem" Shepard has only been awake for six months, and he doesn't feel like he's truly lived any of them. Brooks shaped him into a weapon, but the man whose life he tried to steal is hell bent on trying to give him his own to live. Shepard's crew don't share his compassionate outlook on the whole situation, though.
