Dick Grayson's been having a crappy week. Scratch that, he was having an absolutely horrible week.
But when family and duty calls, he can't be the one to decline. When Bruce and Tim and Jason and Damian are all yelling at each other and getting snippy, he knows he's the one who has to step in. When people need a shoulder, a spare ear, somebody to take their anger out on, it's always him, though the favor is seldom returned. Over and over and over again.

He mentally checks himself, making sure his mask is in his possession as he takes a step back and looks down in time to see a few pecks of dirt dislodge from the edge of the cliff and fall , down, down, down into cold icey winter water.
They take a step forward, Red Hood twitches and his hands raise subconsciously. Almost as to put them out in peace offering or an attempt to stop Damian from jumping , which Hood can’t do.
“Kid.” Nightwing. Tries to coax him into smoothness, into relax . Damian knows better than to sway to soft spoken words , especially his name . His mother would do the same but the outcome would be treacherous several almost fatal wounds and days without getting fed. So no he does nothing but glare at Nightwing.-

A young version of Jason Todd gets time displaced and dropped into the Batcave. Wide-eyed, loudmouthed, and still soft enough to believe the world won’t eat him alive.
He thinks seeing his future self is cool. He thinks the grey hair is funny. He thinks the tension in the room is nothing a joke can’t fix.
Then he notices the guns.
When he demands answers, Jason gives them to him—every ugly piece, every shard of the truth no one else wants spoken out loud.
Sometimes the past comes calling. And sometimes it looks you in the eyes and says it never wants to grow into the monster you’ve become.
“Yeah.” Jason murmurs. “I didn’t want to be me either.”

The morning of November 2nd, Petunia woke to discover her nephew abandoned on her front step with a letter explaining how Lily was killed by the magical supremacists she had been fighting.
Petunia knows two things: 1) the born magicals were going to put the rest of her family in danger by leaving Harry with her. 2) Harry would live a life hunted by these magical supremacists.
Sure, there were “wards” now set around her house, but Petunia had no faith in them. No, the only way to truly keep her nephew and family safe was for Harry to disappear into the broader world and be on the move. But who met that criteria? Who would be constantly on the move and where would born magicals never think to look? The Circus!
It just so happened Haly's Circus was on a world tour and had passed through Surrey.

When Dick Grayson decides it’s time to move out of Wayne Manor with his daughters, nine-year-old Charlotte and one-year-old Eleanor, he believes a new apartment in Blüdhaven will give them the fresh start they need.
