Summary
Ubbe Ragnarsson becomes disenchanted with life in Kattegat. The one comfort he has comes in the form of a young woman who catches his eye at the midsummer feast, but there is much more to her than Ubbe could have known at their first meeting.
Inspired and based heavily in Nordic folklore, especially that of the hulderfolk. Some artistic liberties have been taking to create a new iteration.

Heahmund's past is coming for him.
The man made his way toward the bar, his boots heavy on the floor as he approached Heahmund, his voice deep and contemptuous. "So, the prodigal son finally shows his face," the man sneered, his eyes glinting with hostility. "Are you done fucking around, or are you still playing priest?"
Heahmund’s expression remained cool, but his body language betrayed him. His shoulders were tense, his posture rigid. “Cuthred,” he said, his voice calm but the flicker of something dangerous in his tone. “Did your father send you?”
Cuthred’s lips curled into a sneer. “I wouldn’t be here if he hadn’t.” He turned his gaze toward Ivar, the disgust clear in his eyes. "And is this the underaged twink you fucked your reputation over for?"

Minerva had saved him, in her own way. And in doing so merged him with an Apple, or so he thinks. Desmond sees it differently.
Is he supposed to be thankful she let him burn, rebuilt him and then left him stranded somewhere far, far away?Strangely, the people here seemed to be mistaking him for someone named 'Athelstan'.
On the upside, he's never alone, the various Assassins of old seemed to be chatty enough, in his head. Giving him a family he never had and never knew he wanted.
Another AU exploring dimension travelling and Isu-fuckery: What would happen if a certain assassin looks a lot like a certain priest. With strange memories? Dreams? A figment of his imagination? Plaguing him. A twin-story? Or a doppelgänger?
I used the 'Graphic description of violence' warning but really if you watched the show...it should be expected.

Summary
After Aslaug's funeral, Ragnar is strained to reconcile with his sons: Hvitserk, Ubbe, Sigurd, and Ivar. This is a bond that has been frayed for many years between the alpha and his children. Ivar, in particular, is the most volatile of the brothers and feels overwhelmed by it all. Grief for his mother joins, his struggles as an unpresented, status-less pup add fuel his unpredictability and leave him increasingly antsy.
But it is really the arrival of dominant alpha Heahmund that complicates things. Heahmund’s presence ignites emotions in Ivar that he isn’t prepared to confront, feelings of both being drawn to and infuriated in turn.

Bringing Gisla to Kattegat with him was precarious. He didn’t even know if something like this had ever been done before. If he took her as a bed-slave no one would have thought much of it. If he made her his concubine there would have been some confusion, but they would assume he favored her. To make a foreign woman taken as a war-prize his wife would be unthinkable to them.

Summary
Now that Vikings has finished, I wanted to start all over again at the beginning and write a small (hopefully) not too long tribute to my favorite TV show and characters, covering series 1-3 ( which were the best) with a little bit of Irish legends thrown in for good measure.
This story centers around Rollo and an original Female characterUnfortunately my plans to update every week never came to fruition as the stress of working in healthcare through a pandemic burnt me out.I haven't abandoned this work, I will update the story as I can.
