    Both New York and the Hidden City are bustling once again. People online - as well as the local street corner lunatic - are already claiming the Krang invasion was just some big government conspiracy despite the fact that the lines between human, yokai, and mutant are starting to blur. It's business as usual again, at least that's what Leo tries to tell himself. His brothers have finally stopped hovering, they're going on missions together again and stirring up trouble just like before. Surely his current bout of insomnia and restlessness was nothing to worry about.

    What he needed was a distraction; training and meditation was too familiar, too routine, so maybe he could pick up a new hobby, or find a new friend to hang out with? As much as he loved his big extended family - Draxum unfortunately included - sometimes they cared too much.

    A low-stakes friendship was just what he needed. Someone outside of the family that didn't know about his past injuries, past mistakes, or anything about his past in general. That was the one and only reason he kept seeking out that rabbit.

    He turned in the hammock and pulled the blanket over his shoulders. Everyone was taking Mikey’s death differently, but Leo took it the worst. He died opening the portal to save Leo. He remembered Mikey’s arms were cracked, broken, and his whole body faded away. It was Leo’s fault he died. He died saving Leo, and it broke him. Don and Raph had grieved, sure, but they had finally moved on. It was like watching your life move on without you...
