All of it is turned on its head when they make a shocking discovery, setting them on a course of events that tests their bond and sees them forging new ones. Maybe it's the adrenaline, but Vergil can't help himself. He laughs, short and breathless, without any real humor. "You can try. Somehow, I don't think death is what fate has in store for us here."

"You sure you'll be alright out here on your own?" Nero asks, frowning. "We have a guest room if you don't mind dealing with a couple of chatterboxes for a month."
"Aww," Griffon says from his perch on V's shoulder. "Now ain't that sweet. Kid's worried for you, V."
It is. It is sweet. It's been a long time since he last had someone who cared enough to worry over him. The feeling of it aches in him. Not like a bruise. Something more brittle than that. The ache of a tree branch barely holding on to the limb. A dying thing clinging to a thriving thing, hardly worth more than the fuel it could provide to a flame.

“What about you?” Nero says. “What do you want?”
The shadow of a smile touches the man's lips, so faint Nero almost misses it. “What does every lost soul want?”

Summary
Vergil has always had a way with words. He could recite Shakespeare, had a good amount of Poe memorized, and of course always kept with him his favorite collection of Blake's work.
So why, whenever it came to Dante, could he never get across what he wanted to say? Why did his perfectly crafted sentences, verging on poetry, always fall on deaf ears?
Vergil is, if nothing else, devoted to that which he cares about. And there will never be any person or thing he loves more than Dante. After all, obsession is just another word for love, is it not?
His approach to the pursuit of that love, might need a little work though.
Or — Vergil's path to loving Dante was a short one. His path to a relationship took much longer.

~ A V X Reader set in an Alternate Universe wherein Nero was able to defeat Urizen that 16th of May.
~ V goes on a search for power to keep his mortal flesh from crumbling - a result from his failure to merge with Urizen. With the Yamato at his disposal, he goes to every place he could think of, looking for any clue and any kind of magic to heal him.
His search for power leads him back to Red Grave where a disaster beyond anyone's imagination is already starting to claw its way towards the city's helpless citizens. He takes on the reckless job with familiar faces, hoping to redeem himself in front of others he have wronged before.
Then, he meets her - a mysterious girl who also takes on the job but, unlike any of them, she doesn't look like she possesses any kind of power.
What are the secrets she is hiding from him? What is that strange feeling that drew him towards her like a magnet?
And most importantly, does she really hold the ability to prolong his life - the "power" he is searching for all those weeks?

That was the first interaction most of the class had with Izuku Midoriya. From there the interactions got only... stranger. From the first combat training (where Midoriya, in his long coat, katana in hand, seemingly cut a whole building into pieces with a single slice), to the USJ encounter (where Izuku singlehandedly fought off over 50 villains). It's just after their summer break now, and with his encounter with the Hero Killer Stain (which Izuku had reprimanded him for, surprisingly), and the fight for survival at the training camp (where he was found frolicking with Uraraka, cementing their relationship), Izuku has made himself a stand out student in Class 1-A.
Izuku is born to a unique bloodline, and its coming high time he finally meets his extended family.

The whole month Nero and V spent travelling together allowed them to grow gradually closer, and culminated with them becoming lovers. However, there are still many mysteries surrounding V, in particular his fated ties with Vergil, which the invoker wants to keep from Nero at any cost.
In a race against the clock, they both embark on a last mission to defeat Urizen before it’s too late. A task which won’t be easy, and much less when V begins to degrade.
