It's widely accepted that the creation and maintenance of a military-quality mech is an expensive and onerous affair, requiring the support of a larger organization, being born into the right family, or a lot of luck. As it turns out, this isn't strictly true. Sometimes you can make a mech with just four idiots, a hand-portable printer, a lot of hard work, a willingness to study and to bend the rules, and the chutzpah to even try to design a mech entirely from the ground up without using any established frame design. (Plus there's the video channel, because what's the point of doing something stupid if nobody sees it?)

Summary
In her career thus far, lancer corps officer Caitlyn has mostly been confined to guardwork in Piltover amongst the enforcers, much to her chagrin. Her family name, and the position they hold in the delicate political balance of the Union, make it difficult for her to pursue her dreams of interstellar travel and a place in the exploration of the wider universe. But when unrest seems to be threaded through the system she has grown up in, and rumors of preparations for war have drawn in close enough to home for tensions to rise, Caitlyn decides that she’ll have to do what it takes for answers, even if that means turning to captured enemy pilots for assistance. She could certainly never have predicted that one of those pilots would lead her on a chase through the stars—though in a life always defined by pursuit, she’s never been one to back down from a challenge, and she doesn't plan to do so now.

20 years ago a ship fell out of Blinkspace and crashed into the planet, this ship was the Horde's of Purity. Containing a Clone of Harrison, and a small contingent of soldiers and mechs. Using this he conquered the nearby territories including the Scorpioni Kingdom and the Kingdom of Halfmoon taking prisoners.
The Planetary leaders, a loose alliance of nobles who pilot ancient mechs that predate the first colonial war and the history of them has been long forgotten. Alongside more traditional mechs of the Sorcerers Guild and armies of Etheria attempted to fight back only to end in a stalemate after the Mech Illusionary Grasp piloted by the King of the Largest member of the Coalition was destroyed and it's pilot killed.
The war has been at an effective stalemate for the last 18 years, until a younger up and coming soldier in the Horde's armies named Adora goes on a joytrip and discovers a vine covered mech in the woods, seemingly made of Marble and Gold and calling out to her. -

As the centuries-old system is torn down before the eyes of the people crushed beneath its weight, two women with a complicated relationship make a snap decision that changes their lives.
This is a story about repressed feelings, soul-searching, suppressed trauma, and recovery in the face of cultural shock and emotional growth. It's about queerness, belonging, burning passion, delicious friction, and inexperienced but very eager women trying to figure out what the hell they want. It's about unsupervised lesbians in mechs doing very irresponsible things.
