Summary
Loki was many things, but one of his little-known habits was his curiosity, or rather the fact that he acted on it without necessarily thinking about the consequences. Well, it was more that he did not care, to be honest. Loki is a scientist at heart, he likes to test things, so what could be better for a magical being like him than to have the Tesseract? Of course, he was going to experiment with it, what was Thor thinking?
Oh, yes... Thor did not know. It did not matter though. It was a detail.
Except when said detail led him to a Thor with TWO natural eyes, an adoptive father conveniently falling into a magical coma to let him deal with the shitty foreign policy – with an impending war, had he forgotten? – and a still-living mother who had always been too perceptive for her own good. Bloody witches.

Summary
Tony Stark was only just starting to ease back into everyday life after the New York incident, and then the universe had to shove him on his ass again.
With no idea as to how it happened, Tony finds himself in Asgard, hundreds of years before 2012. He's lost to time and stuck in close quarters with a pair of brothers; a future teammate, and the cause for his trauma.
Tony takes it upon himself to fix for this timeline what he couldn't for his own, and he sure as hell doesn't plan on backing down. He's dedicated to preventing Loki's attack on earth, no matter what it takes.

This is so chaotic.
There’s too much going on, and Loki tries to figure out if he should make a run for it or not when the silver case that was in Kevlar Man’s hand slides across the floor following his fly across the room, clatters to the ground, and tips open, spewing its contents out onto the tile.
The Tesseract rolls away and stops just a few feet from Loki. He stares down at it for a long second. It’s close enough that if he moved to the side, he could easily bend over and grab it. He looks up to make sure no one is watching him.
But they are, there is someone staring directly at him, and Loki’s blood runs cold.——
Loki keeps seeing things. Thanos never left his head, and the voices and images grow until they become deafening.

They're the wrong colour. Was the only thought going through Clint's mind as he locked eyes with a figure he hadn't seen from his teenage years in the circus.
He froze, his hand moving away from the weapon at his side as he watched Loki get to his feet. He looked so different, here in the lab, compared to within the circus tent. The spear looked wrong in the man's hand compared to the little ballerina box he worked so hard on before.
Loki. Loki was a God. The God of Mischief. Clint met a God all those years ago within the tent. A God called him little hawk. No wonder the man was so confused that he could always find him, he shouldn't have been able to. The God was likely using some power to make his eyes gloss over him, yet he always managed to fight through it.
No wonder the others thought him crazy when he mentioned a man on the highest perch of the tent.-----
Sometimes, they only see the monster and not the man behind it.
